Language of Flowers is a reprint of color illustrations, without the original text, from a book by Kate Greenaway which was originally published in 1865. She was an accomplished illustrator and author in England toward the end of the 19th Century. She died in 1901. She is especially noted for her illustrations of children's books and her children's literature that began to appear in 1879. Her paintings were created by the use of chromoxylography, a process by which colors were printed from engraved blocks of wood. In this edition the colors are enhanced to create more vivid images.
