Overview
AN INVALUABLE TOOL
At some point in our lifetime, most of us will face a cancer diagnosis, either personally or in our immediate family, and yet when it happens to you, it can seem like you are all alone. Moving beyond the initial shock of hearing the word "Cancer", you can quickly become overwhelmed with all of the information that is available. Based on both personal and professional perspectives, this book offers a practical approach to navigating a cancer diagnosis and finding answers to the types of questions you are likely asking:
How do I find the healthcare team and facility that is right for me?
How can I better understand my cancer diagnosis, and the treatments my doctor recommends?
How do I know if I should be considering participating in a clinical trial?
Where can I find help with the questions I have that aren't related to my health, like financial and legal matters?
How do I find reliable sources for the information I need?
If you or a loved one are facing a cancer diagnosis, this book provides need-to-know information and resources, revealing how indeed, "knowledge is powerful".
