Deveraux Renard is the perfect boyfriend: perfectly handsome, perfectly charming... perfectly deadly. He has to be. Dev is immortal, but with a catch: Every year he has to make a new girl fall in love with him and kiss her at midnight on New Year's Eve. That kiss renews his life for another year - and ends hers forever.

This year, Mariana "Saintly" Santos is the lucky girl. Of course she doesn't know it. Saintly thinks New Year's Eve is a chance to move beyond the tragedy of her brother's death and focus on her first year of college. She doesn't suspect her boyfriend's secret - and he doesn't suspect hers: Ever since her brother died, Saintly can see ghosts.

And one ghost in particular is dying to be seen. Twenty years ago, Jesse Hayden jumped off the campus clock tower because she was convinced that she'd never find true love. Now that she has met Saintly, she's sure that she was wrong. She's determined to save the only girl in the world who can see her, but can she get Saintly to trust her in time?

Trust the ghost girl and live.

Trust the immortal boy and die.

Saintly has until midnight to make her choice, and the clock is ticking.

Book Worms received this book as an ARC for an honest review. we gave this book 5 stars.  This review was left by Amanda a Book Worms Reviewer. Thank you Amanda This book had me hooked from the very beginning.  I have always been a huge fairy tale fan and I LOVE the dark twist this had on Bluebeard/ Mr. Fox. I loved the characters. I fell in love with Dev almost instantly, as much as I hate to say it. He had this swoon worthy quality about him that just melted me. Saintly is a determined young woman who is still mourning the loss of her twin brother and trying to figure out how life goes on without the ones you thought would be there with you forever.  She is scared to death of her past catching up with her and she is set out to prove that she can do things better this time around. I also loved the friendship between Saintly and Delia. I love how different these girls are, yet how close they are. They both fall for Dev, yet they are both willing to step back and let the other one have him because they love each other more than the boy.  I absolutely adore Jesse. She was my absolute favorite character in this book, I felt so bad for her at times. I love how strongly she cares for Saintly and how she is willing to do anything no matter how uncomfortable it is for her to help her out. This book will keep you hooked from page one until the very last. You will go from very anxious about a situation to smiling because something is going the way that you want, This is defiantly a 5 star read for me. I think because of some touchy subjects with suicide it shouldn't be read by younger people. Thank you Laura for an amazing book, I look forward to reading more from you in the future. <3

One of the things I like most about Laura Bradley Rede’s books is how she tells a story messy like it is with characters that don’t fit the mold. The good guys are flawed and the bad guys are likeable. The characters feel real and the relationships are organic. Nothing is simple or superficial and you don’t know how it will turn out until the very end. She pulls this all off with out it feeling forced or convoluted. So once again she has an awesome heroine, steamy yummy scenes, dark and raw hard parts and a surprising ending. The only thing that I’m disappointed about is that I gobbled it up too fast and now it’s gone…
