About the Author

Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, Ms. Ellis spent her days working as a Legal Assistant in New York City's top Law Firms before becoming an Author. On her down-time she would write short stories for the sole purpose of entertaining her friends until her short story Last Woman Standing was chosen to appear in the hood classic Girls From the Hood Part 4? in 2007.

Ayana Ellis had only warmed her way into the hearts of avid readers when her debut novel Love Changes was released later in 2007, but it was until she released the gritty but Triumphant Full Circle, a true story based on her life as an abused woman, when she secured her spot amongst more experienced authors in January 2010. Full Circle also earned Ms. Ellis a Certificate of Excellence for her efforts in promoting Domestic Violence Awareness from the Mayor of the Town of Riverhead. Ms. Ellis has also started Purpose Publishing in February 2011 where she released her 3rd novel King Me in March.

In November of 2011, Ms. Ellis ventured off into the "Self-Help" genre by releasing the hilariously raw but truthful "Don't Be A Dumb Bitch," still managing to stay true to her readers by providing what she calls "Street but Sweet Lit."

Women and Men of all ages and races are sure to be drawn to this Author who paints vivid pictures with her words.
