Confronting Nazi evil is the subject of the latest installment in the mega-bestselling Killing series

As the true horrors of the Third Reich began to be exposed immediately after World War II, the Nazi war criminals who committed genocide went on the run. A few were swiftly caught, including the notorious SS leader, Heinrich Himmler. Others, however, evaded capture through a sophisticated Nazi organization designed to hide them. Among those war criminals were Josef Mengele, the “Angel of Death” who performed hideous medical experiments at Auschwitz; Martin Bormann, Hitler’s brutal personal secretary; Klaus Barbie, the cruel "Butcher of Lyon"; and perhaps the most awful Nazi of all: Adolf Eichmann.

Killing the SS is the epic saga of the espionage and daring waged by self-styled "Nazi hunters." This determined and disparate group included a French husband and wife team, an American lawyer who served in the army on D-Day, a German prosecutor who had signed an oath to the Nazi Party, Israeli Mossad agents, and a death camp survivor. Over decades, these men and women scoured the world, tracking down the SS fugitives and bringing them to justice, which often meant death.

Written in the fast-paced style of the Killing series, Killing the SS will educate and stun the listener.

The final chapter is truly shocking.

I started reading novels in 1945, in the fifth grade and I think this is now number one on my list of absolute favorites!

Read it ... especially if you know little or. nothing about WW II. The current fad of labeling people as NAZIS reveals such ignorance and lack of knowledge, concerning the true nature and unbelievable depravity during that gruesome period of world history. Still sickening beyond belief.

Excellent read! The more I read the more I discovered that I had no idea what went on after the war.... Our history classes do not share this information. I recommend it to any one who has a love of history! Excellent!

I've read many of the books in the Killing series and found the this one, though interesting, felt a little scattered and underdeveloped. There were so many stories that left me wanting to know more.

Killing the SS: The Hunt for the Worst War Criminals in History (Bill O‘Reilly‘s Killing Series) by Bill O‘Reilly and Martin Dugard is a well researched and documented history of Nazism. Descriptions in detail of the Nazi culture, the era, their goals, purpose and influence on Germany and The World. Detailed history of Nazi SS escapes, how they were pursued and prosecuted after the end of World War II. Excellent information on the people involved and the methods used to bring these criminals to justice. Horrendous Difficult Truths of the Nazi Regime. 5 Stars

It was okay which was quite a shock to me being how I’ve truly enjoyed his other books in this series I’ve read. It was full of great history and things I’ve never known despite all I’ve read and watched on WWII. But the format of the book was the major disappointment. The history kept interrupting the storyline the way it was done. For me it would have been better if the history of the people involved in each story was first then we go to the story of the capture. I’m glad I read it but again I can’t say if I’d recommend it or not just because of what I said before and that’s a said statement...

Just like the other Bill O'reilly books I read-Fantastic. Will definitely read more of his books. I do believe everyone of the killing series has been an instant best seller. That is quite an accomplishment for an author as far as I am concerned.

First, I am a huge fan of the Killing Series by Bill O'Reilly and Martin Dugard. They have captured many historical events both the United States and abroad.  This one is certainly no different. Killing the SS captures the essence of post World War II and the criminal proceedings that followed. Mostly, the authors track some of the primary actors in the Third Reich of Germany under Hitler. I honestly was taken aback with this book. I anticipated that the book would be about Hilter. This was not the case. His cronies and those hunting them are the central themes. You will not want to put this book down.

Over dramatic and to heavily weighted on the Nazi hunters. What happened to many of these disturbing Nazi folks is disheartening to say the least and speaks a sad story to this country and to society in general. We just let a lot of this stuff go and really shouldn’t have. The comfort is that God will judge them all.
