Christina begs her family to let her travel to Europe with her junior class. Shortly after her request is denied she is kidnapped by someone she recognizes and overhears her kidnappers devise an elaborate plan to divide the ransom. Once she is released she uses her wits to convince her family that she is not the mastermind and find the real villain. The Kidnapping of Christina Lattimore is a suspenseful read to get reluctant readers hooked into a good mystery.

The kidnapping of Christina Lattimore is the book i choose to do open choice for. This was a very interesting book, i would recommend it to everyone who is into a little suspense. At the beginning when Christina gets kidnapped i always would wonder what was the reason for the kidnapping, then i found out that it was because the kidnappers wanted the fund that Christina's grandmother had for any educational purpose that Christina needed. And i would always think that her parents would think that Christina set up the whole kidnapping because at the begining of the book Christina wanted the fund to go on a really expensive field trip (this was before the kidnapping happened) . The next part of the story is when Christina gets rescued by the police and a lot of people thought that she was the mastermind who planed her own kidnap to get the fund money. All of that happened because when the police came the kidnapped through the gun at Christina so she was the one holding it. The rest of the story is Christina trying to prove her innocence.

The story's about a girl that gets kidnapped. When she's found, the kidnappers say that she planned the whole thing. She'll have to prove that she wasn't behind it and wonders if anyone believes her. Suspenseful throughout. Ending seemed to happen fast.

This book was FANTASTIC! I'm not really the type of person to read mysteries but this book was great! I judge all of my books by their cover as well so this was an easy pick. Overall, I really enjoyed The Kidnapping of Christina Lattimore!

This is definitely one of the better books of Nixon's that I have read. The book is divided into two parts: the first part is Christina Lattimore being kidnapped and the second part is her trying to prove that she really was kidnapped and didn't orchestrate the kidnapping to get her grandmother's money, which she is accused of. Whether or not she proved her innocence I'll leave to the reader to find out. I see why this book won the Edgar Allan Poe award for best young adult mystery because not only is it clever, but it is exciting and pretty well put together. Four stars.

I read the first page at the book store and fell in love. I begged to go back for about a month, when i finally got the book, I was overjoyed. I finished within two days. It was MAGNIFICENT!!! I would re-read it, and discuss and make sure other people would read this. Every page is filled with exciting new things, and keeps you on the edge of your seat.

The book was okay, but I didn't like the ending. It was too quick. She just figured it out in 2 seconds, and that was it. I don't think I would recommend it to anyone.
