The book Judy Moody Saves the World, by Megan McDonald, is a very interesting book. It Deals with Judy just sitting in class one day, when she realizes that there are many things she can do herself to save the environment. Judy is the heroine and garbologist, famous for her many mood. She feels that if everyone in the world gave up some of there stuff to save the environment that the it would be a better, cleaner world. She thinks of making a band-aid that would help and win her a prize. There is a crazy strip contest for kids who want to enter their designs for a new band-aid. Judy enters a design with a world on it but her brother enters one with a bat on it, which Judy thinks is stupid. After all her hard work for the crazy strips she didn¿t win but her brother got second. After all the attempts Judy tried to save the world she came up with an idea of a school project that would help the whole world.

The book I am, reviewing is Judy Moody Saves the World written by Megan McDonald and illustrated by Peter H. Reynolds I give this book five stars. Judy enters a crazy stripe contest. And she has to make her own band aids. If she wins the whole world will use them. Stink, Judy¿s brother starts to make his own crazy stripes. He uses her thoughts and thinks he can win the big prize. Judy gets annoyed with her brother stink. I would recommend this book to my friends.

This is a sweet little book about a third grade girl named Judy Moody. Judy has a little brother named Stink and a best friend named Rocky. In science class, Judy is learning about rainforests and how important it is to help save them. Rainforests provide supplies for so many things including pencils, gum, and even coffee. Judy Moody decides that she must help save the world. She recycles banana peels and tries to get her family to use less paper bags, lipstick and coffee (which contain rainforest materials). Still she doesn't feel that she has achieved anything until she excites the whole class about saving rainforest trees. Soon everyone in grade 3T is involved in helping to make a real difference for the rainforests of South America. This is a sweet little chapter book that could be used in a third grade classroom to teach children about recycling and rainforests. Judy is adorable and so is the book which contains nothing objectionable.

Judy Moody is a series of book about a young girl of around 8/9 years old. She lives with her parents and her brother Stink (he has his own series of books). I reviewed the first book is the series title ‘Judy Moody‘ a couple of weeks ago. Today I am reviewing another book from the series ‘Judy Moody Saves the World’. At school, Judy’s class are doing a project on the environment and how we are destroying it and how it can be saved. The pupils are to come up with some ways to help save the Earth. They are also learning about endangered animals and are each given an animal to find out about. Judy’s was the ‘North-east Tiger Beetle’, which she found there was very little information about. As well as trying to save the Earth, both Judy and Stink have entered a competition to have their drawings on band-aids (plasters). The Judy Moody books are great fun. Judy has a big personality for such a little girl. She also has great friends, classmates, teachers, and family that all play a part in the stories. This book covers a wonderful and important subject, The Planet and how to help save it from destruction. It will teach young children about recycling, light pollution, noise pollution and about some endangered animals too. There is also a section about an activist called Julia Butterfly Hill who lived in a 1500-year-old California redwood tree for 738 days to prevent loggers working for a big company cutting it down. I’d never heard of Julia before. The books are filled with lots of humour and provide children with a brilliant light-hearted story that they can get engrossed in. The series is also pretty big with at least thirteen books and that’s not including the spin-offs and the movie too. I believe that children will adore these books. They are a great read and include some wonderful black and white illustrations too which add to the overall enjoyment.
