Alyssa Day creates an amazing and astonishing world...romantic, sexy and utterly compelling. I loved it! - New York Times bestselling author Christine Feehan, about Alyssa Day's Atlantis series

She could see only him.
There was no bar, no Noel, no Dark Angels. No Scott, no troubles, no worries.
There was only a searing flash of heat from the raw, primal desire she saw in this man's eyes when he looked at her.
It was too much—too intense. Suddenly she felt fragile, as if her bones had been hollowed out and replaced with air and light. As if she might float away if this man didn't stop looking at her.

As if she might collapse in despair if he did.

* * *
When black sheep Flynn returns to Atlantis after more than a decade away, he discovers that his brothers thought he was dead and moved on with their lives. But before he can wrap his brain around that problem, Poseidon himself taps Flynn to be one of a new generation of elite warriors. Now he only has to: learn how to be part of a team, rescue a group of kidnapped girls from the Hell's Dark Angels motorcycle gang, and try to understand why a certain redhaired bartender with an affinity for animals is driving him mad...

Eva Calandar needs to run. Again. Her ex-boyfriend, a black magic practitioner, has tracked her down. Again. But she might be the key to rescuing a group of girls from becoming human sacrifices, and there's a certain astonishingly hot Atlantean warrior with a fierce protective instinct who is making her think longing thoughts of finally making a stand.

Together, they're so much stronger than they were apart, but the heat between them may be enough to burn down the world.

No matter what the temperature is in January . . . in Atlantis.

Twelve all-new adventures in the hotly anticipated world of Poseidon's Warriors, from New York Times bestselling author Alyssa Day. These books are sexy, romantic, and wickedly addictive —welcome to Atlantis!

Alyssa Day has started a new series with new warriors selected by Poseiden to help humanity against the evil supernatural beings. This is an ambitous bit of writing because the new stories are being produced one a month starting with this first one. I enjoyed it and really liked the twist at the end.

Book one of the "Poseidon's Warriors" series is a romantic short-story with a touch of mystery and adventure tossed in the mix. The premise is fun. The pacing is good. The characters are appealing. While Ms. Day did pack a lot of information into this short-story, I feel it needed more character development to make it a really satisfying read. Some of the background details to this series tie in to those of a different, but distantly related, series by Ms. Day: the "Tiger's Eye Mysteries" series. It consists of full-length books; the first of which is called, "Dead Eye". This book is a mystery with a touch of romance to it. The premise is fun. The mystery has many plausible red herrings. The pacing of the story is good. The dialogue is smart, funny, witty, and real. It drew me in from the very first paragraph. The characters are complex and appealing; especially, the two main leads. It is a great series, and, ultimately, more satisfying to me than "Poseidon's Warriors".

It was okay and a fairly quick read. I didn't really think it was all that thrilling, adventurous or romantic like one review said. For me it verged on being boring and it was definitely rushed especially at the end when it should have been exciting. Part of chapter 1 is repeated word for word in a later chapter.

I enjoyed some parts but the thought process didn't always flow correctly. Part of one chapter was repeated.
