Samantha slid over the edge of the boat and into the warm blue water; she just wanted to get to a safe place and away from this boat. She didn't know what had happened. She had awakened with a gash on her head aboard this small sailboat, and it was stuck in the sand, on what looks like a tropical Island. But she didn't know where, she couldn't remember anything not even her own name. Although, she had a terrible feeling that she wasn't alone and that she needed to run and hide.

About the Author

I was born the second child of seven in Madera Ca. However, I was only two weeks old and we were on the road to Texas. So needless to say I grew up moving a lot, we followed the fruit in California or we picked cotton in Oklahoma and Texas.
I didn't start to write until after the death of my mother in 2008. Because of my bad spelling and dyslexia, I never got into writing early in my life. But I did make up stories in my head and tell them to my siblings. My husband encouraged me to try to write down one of my stories. I thought about it for a few days then I started to write. It came so easy, the story was there just waiting for me to write it.
