About the Author

USA Today bestselling author Melissa F. Miller is a former attorney who traded the practice of law for the art of telling stories.

As a lawyer, she clerked for a federal judge; practiced in the offices of major international law firms; and ran a two-person law firm with her lawyer husband. Now, powered by coffee, she writes crime fiction and homeschools her three children. When she's not writing, and sometimes when she is, she travels around the country in an RV with her husband, kids, and cat.

She is the author of more than two dozen bestselling legal thrillers, suspense thrillers, romantic comedic mysteries, and forensic thrillers. All her work shares two common threads: pulse-pounding, tightly plotted action and smart, unlikely heroines and heroes.

Irreparable Harm by Melissa F. Miller is a fast paced riveting page-turner! I couldn't put it down and it consumed my entire weekend until I finished the very last page! The storyline is believable and full of suspense! I fell in love with the characters and am hoping she brings them back in another story. Melissa F. Miller has incredible talent as a writer and her knowledge of the legal system is very thorough. I am really looking forward to her next book.

As a lawyer myself I am seldom impressed with books about attorneys who solve crimes because the legal details of the storylines are usually distractingly inaccurate. This book, on the other hand, sets out a plot which, while imaginative and interesting, did not resort to depicting court rooms and law firms in unlikely or outrightly impossibje situations. I hope the next books are as good.

An exciting plot, a tiny but fierce heroine, and only a bit of a love story. Some books are easy to set aside and forget, but I read this one with gusto.

Really enjoyed this book! Exciting plot, interesting and likable characters, hated to put this book down long enough to get some sleep! Just purchased book 2 in the Sasha series and can hardly wait to begin reading it. Unfortunately, housework on a Saturday afternoon is calling me so sitting down to book 2 with a glass of iced tea on a warm summer evening will be my reward for cleaning my house!! Get the book- you will be glad you did!!!

I really liked this book. Lots of action with a heroine to be reckoned with both physically and mentally. And of course, a love story thrown in for good measure. I would recommend this bok even if it weren't free.

Surprisingly clean. Only a few curse words. Tells perspectives of several characters. Good details. Light humor in some places. 2 thumbs up.

Perry Mason, Sam Spade, and Bruce Lee rolled into one petite Lawyer named Sasha. What a nail biting cliffhanging thriller. Ms Miller, Esq. writes what she knows about and, she does it with believable characters, well developed plot and an ability to make the reader forget everything except the tale unwinding. This one is a winner!

Can't put it down legal thriller mixes big firm politics with mystery as Sasha wrestles with ethical dilemas while trying to determine who and what brought down the commercial airliner that crashed. A great MCLE discussion assignment for lawyers, but just plain fun for everyone. Makes me want to read more by this author.

Book was fair, plot was dry at times and it was a struggle to get thru. Sasha was a little unbelievable as a lawyer/ heroine.

So many times authors leave you trying to follow them, and their logic, to the detriment of you, the reader. That is not the case here...instead you have a very enjoyable, understandable work that will leave you wanting another of the author's works. This represents a "must read" book, in my opinion. Enjoy!

Sasha McCandless is a corporate lawyer, whose client’s plane just slammed into a mountain, killing everyone aboard. Was the plane crash an accident or was it murder. Sasha teams with a federal air marshal assigned to investigate the crash. I was captivated after the first chapter. Good, suspenseful read with strong, believable central characters. I was thoroughly entertained and will definitely read the other books in this series.

Plot and details well thought out. Characterizations believable. Superfluous information kept to a minimum. Jargon spot on. Started out smartly and stayed that way to the end. Quick enjoyable read.

A little to unbelievable

Well-written interesting story. The main characters were likable, and the bad guys were, well, bad guys. The surprise near the end was not too obvious, and actually made sense when I looked back over the book. There was a little crude language which I prefer not to read.

It was an ok book. Fast and easy read and it kept me invested in the characters. However, as a resident of the city of Pittsburgh, the references to the city were off kilter and annoying. It's obvious that Ms. Miller hasn't been to Pittsburgh in a long time. Pittsburgh's downtown no longer empties after work hours and has a thriving night life. Buildings and street locations are off, sight lines didn't make sense. In my opinion, if a writer is going to use a specific city as their book's location, they should make sure they've got the facts right. Otherwise it ruins the storyline. So for that reason, i can only give this book 2 stars. Try better.

This book was written by an intelligent person. Written very well. however, I had a little trouble with the legal explanations. Some, I just didn't get. But I was able to finish the book, anyway!
