Kudos to Cheryl Bradshaw.... I have read and enjoyed all the books in this series of Sloane Monroe mysteries and this latest one is no exception. The mystery begins on the first page and holds your attention until the final page is turned. Secrets are revealed, lives are changed, motives are questioned... all the elements of a good suspense story are included. Sloane is at a crossroads in her life and the case she is working on helps her deal with her indecision and angst. Great read and great job by Cheryl Bradshaw. Note... once you start reading you will not want to put it down!

The unbelievable love interest took away from the mystery. I spent most of the book being annoyed with the Sloane character. She needed help psychologically before she could even conceive of any type of relationship. Simone24

I agree with other reviews that writing is good . But at least emotional , if not mental condition of the heroine need the treatment . Because of her behavior and relationships are odd , even annoyed , her successful investigations just unbelievable . Any individual , who is unfortunate to have such psychological problems can be very intelligent but can't be so active on the field and at the same time so well control herself with others . And the biggest mystery of this series is : how all other detectives in the cities will survive without Sloane ? They are helpless . Are you ready to believe that she is only one with brains ? Thanks ! Two books is enough for now . G.K.

This was a pretty good read. Down to earth country folk. Just the right amount of romance and mystery to keep me interested.

I've loved all Cheryl Bradshaw's Sloane Monroe books and "Hush Now Baby" is no exception. It's a great read. From the first chapter when I was shocked by what occurred, thru the twists and turns of the investigation, right up to the surprise ending this book had me turning its pages way past my bedtime. But this book is more than just a simple "who done it" because of the author's skilful character development of Sloane, something which has been steadily built upon in each book and yet we get to see more of the complexities of her strength and vulnerability in this particular story. All together "Hush Now Baby" is a most enjoyable read and I have no hesitation in recommending it. I received a free copy of the book for my honest review.

This book was just 'okay' for me. I felt that parts of it were actually a bit dull and parts of it were a little cheesy. Not a grest choice if you're looking for a mystery you don't want to put down.

Another great book (#6) in the Sloane Monroe private eye series. I couldn't put it down! Gripping story that made me stay up too late reading.  Sloane finds herself in Wyoming, wondering if she has it on her to ever take on another case.  Then Cade's cousins baby disappears, and she is compelled to try to help. Sloane is an interesting character, and you can't help pulling for her. If you're already a fan of the series, you won't be disappointed. If you've never read it, do yourself a favor and read all 6 books!

It starts out good but seems a bit contrived at the end. Everything just falls into place for a fast ending. The main character is tough as nails in her job but falls apart with her love relationship which doesn't make sense. Light reading that keeps your interest but nothing to write home about.
