In addition to his interest in metaphysics, Ted was a trained pianist and often used the Celtic harp, bamboo flute, shaman rattles, Tibetan bells, Tibetan Singing Bowl, and quartz crystal bowls to create individual healing therapies and induce higher states of consciousness.
Ted Andrews is the author of The Healer's Manual ; Animal-Speak , How to See & Read the Aura ; Enchantment of the Faerie Realm ; Crystal Balls & Crystal Bowls; How to Uncover Your Past Lives; How to Heal with Color; Sacred Sounds; Simplified Qabala Magic ; and many other New Age titles. Many years ago, healing was not performed by a person in an office. It was done by a local healer, who could treat most problems with folk remedies.
Now, I don't want you to think that I am disrespecting M.D.s. They are great people who work hard and with tremendous dedication. But wouldn't it be great if we could treat many of our problems ourselves and perhaps even prevent them from happening? That would cut down medical bills and make physicians more readily available to those in need.
That is why Llewellyn publishes books about alternative healing methods. And you can learn one of the most simple, powerful systems in How to Heal with Color by Ted Andrews.
Now, if you study acupuncture, you will learn that there are two types of doctors, those who go according to the rules and those who have learned the rules but go one step further and allow their intuition to guide them. In this book you will learn both types of healing, too. For example, you will learn that if a person has a headache there is a certain treatment and if there is a problem with the thymus there is a certain treatment. If you do nothing more than learn these methods of healing with color you can be a great healer.
But this book also shows you how to develop and use your intuition and other spiritual faculties to come up with a treatment that is specific to the individual rather than the ailment. Thus, you will have the best forms of both systems of healing.
Of course, none of it matters if you don't know how to use color. That's where this book really shines. Here you will learn how to focus and generate, even breathe appropriate colors for self-healing and for the healing of others.
