Overview

Bounty hunter Stephanie Plum and Trenton vice cop Joe Morelli join forces to find the madman killer who shot and barbecued the youngest son of international black-market arms dealer Alexander Ramos.

Carlos Manoso, street name Ranger, is caught on video just minutes before the crime occurs. He's at the scene, he's with the victim, and he's the number-one suspect. Ranger is former special forces turned soldier of fortune. He has a blue-chip stock portfolio and no known address. He moves in mysterious circles. He's Stephanie's mentor--the man who taught her everything she knows about fugitive apprehension. And he's more than her friend.

Now he's the hunted and Stephanie's the hunter, and it's time for her to test her skills against the master. But if she does catch him...what then? Can she bring herself to turn him in?

Plus there are other things keeping Stephanie awake at night. Her maternal grandmother has set up housekeeping in Stephanie's apartment, a homicidal maniac has selected Stephanie as his next victim, her love life is in the toilet, she's adopted a dog with an eating disorder, and she can't button the top snap on her Levi's.

Experience the world of Plum--in Janet Evanovich's new thriller. It's surreal, it's frenetic, it's incendiary. Hot Six. It's the best yet.

Janet Evanovich is one if the best authors there is. She definatly knows how to get you on the edge of your seat. She keeps the tension going with the crazy action Stephanie Plum deals with on a daily basis. If you're in for some acion, I suggest you read this book.

So I immediately got this book to find out who's behind the door. Boy, can the author write sexual tension or what. I really got a kick out of grandma, and Mooner turned out to be a nice addition, a comforting support. But the whole Ranger fiasco reminded me of the first book, an introduction to Joe Morelli. I thought she would develop Ranger's relationship with Stephanie in a more original way. The crime wasn't as thrilling this time, but it's worth reading for the humor and romance.

Fun series of books. Got hooked when I saw they had a movie out. I checked out the book first. Glad I did. The books were definitly more entertaining. I do however have Debbie Reynolds forever in my mind as Grandma!

#6 in the Stephanie Plum series. An ongoing story so start with book #1. Still told with a sense of humor but the plots seem to be repetitive. It's as if the author uses the same template and just changes the names of the bad guys. The main character herself is somewhat annoying. Bounty hunting just doesn't suit her but that is where much of the humor fits in. I find the series fast paced and for the most part, enjoyable.

Hot Six is a book that kept me turning the pages. It is about a murder where Stephanie Plum who works for a bail bondsmen tries to help out her friend. It has twists and turns throughout the story but the best part is it kept me laughing. Who ever heard of a bounty hunter (Stephanie) doesn't carry a gun or even know how to use it? Stephanie encounters numerous obstacles along the way which makes the story even funnier. It is a quick and funny read.

I LOVE Stephanie and all of her adventures.. Laugh out loud funny... I am wondering if anyone knows about the Nook Books the # of pages in the More Plums in one where you get 4,5 & 6 they only had 200 pages each, however I see that the paperbacks have 300+ pages. I hope I am not missing anything. Please advise..

I absolutely loved this book. I was literally laughing out loud and finding myself sharing stories about Bob the dog with friends and family. And of course there's no shortage of plum's love life. Great quick read and my fav thus far.

Once again another great addition to the series. Lord help them all Grandma Mazur now has a drivers license. Morellie and Stephanie are getting closer, sure wondering what is going to happen there. Between finding dead bodies, capturing her FTA's and her new dog Bob this was another great book in the series.

Because everyone needs a little smutty brain fluff now and then. Some pretty comic touches here. I definitely see touches of I Love Lucy and The Three Stooges. She writes so much comedy and sexy stuff that you forget you have a puzzle to solve and just go along for the ride.

A book all about Ranger - or is it? This was one of my favoritesin the series so far, probably because of the subject of Stephanie's new hunt. Well, not Stephanie's, exactly...I would like to see Stephanie getting a little more proficient at the bounty hunter gig, though. The 'I left my gun at home' is getting just a tad worn. If she wants to use a stun gun or pepper spray, she should get a little better at it and not haul all her stuff around in a bag. Just my opinion...Still, she sure has a nose for trouble, and a dog's nose to go with it this time. I'm glad Bob is hers and not mine!Whew! six books in about as many days, and I'm nearly caught up with my 100 in a year. With Stephanie's help, I might actually get a little bit ahead!

Stephanie is still going strong and is still totally clueless about being a bounty hunter. She makes it purely on luck and other people picking up behind her.Ranger is suspected to be involved with the death of a local mobster's son, and goes FTA. Stephanie will not bring him back, so Vinnie assigns the case to Joyce... Let's see how many cars Stephanie can blow up and dead body she can turn up.

This one was a lot less serious than the ones so far, and I enjoyed it for that. Her language is incredibly raw and amusing, and he characters are great. What more can I say?

Still liking them. And come on! Now there's Bob! You have to love Bob!

I think I read this in 3 days. These books are so fun, I am constantly laughing. Stephanie, grandma, Morelli, Ranger, they are all there, plus always some of the local flavor to add spice.

I found the introduction of the love triangle between Steph, Morelli and Ranger at the end of the last book completely annoying and I was relieved that the author Evanovich backed away from that a bit in this book. Still there, but not quite so prevalent.Stephanie's treatment of Morelli in the last couple of books has been really horrible (he says he loves her and she feels up another guy??) and if it continues, I think I will have to stop reading out of pure disgust.

At the end of HIGH FIVE there was thread left dangling on the last page. Whose name, Morelli's or Ranger's did Stephanie pull out of the bowl in her Night of Passion Lottery? In HOT SIX it turns out that Joe Morelli is the one that got lucky, but Stephanie did cheat and now we're left with a marriage proposal? Earlier in the series I said no way for Stephanie & Joe, now I'm thinking maybe... but not yet.

Stephanie is hired to bring in Ranger but is more interested in clearing his name instead.
