He's a ONE and DONE kind of guy. Can she live long enough to find out if she's the ONE?

Percy Honeybun and his honey, Brita Muldane just can't catch a break. They've danced around their relationship for years, unable to find a way to make it work. But their lives are intertwined through family and friends and they're just as unable to break completely away from each other. Maybe what they need is a life changing event to help them break through. Or maybe the life-shattering event they suddenly find themselves in, will end up breaking them instead.

Percy and Brita have struggled against their own chemistry and desires while helping the Honeybun brothers and their honeys. We have watched them through each of the other stories. They finally have their story to combat their stubbornness. Their story is full of passion and mystery and an extra dose of action. How will Percy and Brita cope when Brita is at the center of the investigation? A great end to the initial Honeybun brother stories. Worth the wait for their story.

I feel like I start all of my reviews like this, but Sam Cheever has done it again! She has managed to write a story that snagged me from the beginning, wrapped me up in a sea of intrigue and mystery and left me with an ending that was so satisfying I couldn’t help but smile and wonder at her genius. I have been wondering how Percy and Brita could overcome all the things that were keeping them apart for so long and the answer is simple. Love. The love they have for each other can overcome almost anything and this story proves it. I couldn’t put it down once I picked it up. Brita and Percy can’t seem to catch a break and just when Percy decides that he and Brita deserve another chance at happiness, all hell breaks loose. Brita finds herself waking up with amnesia in the middle of a murder case that has everyone pointing the finger at her. Luckily, she has the Honeybuns to back her up and they do exactly what they always do. They work together to figure out what’s going on and they fight to protect their family. And no matter how hard she's fought it over the years, Brita is family. There's action, adventure and so many twists and turns it keeps you on the edge of your seat wondering what will happen next. Watching these two go through so much was harrowing, but as usual, Sam finds a way to bring them together in the most beautiful of ways. I am sad to see this series at an end, but I know we’ll see the Honeybuns again in the future and I am looking forward to it.

2 Thumbs up for an Awesome book in a Super Series. Percy and Brita have been off and on for years. Both to stubborn to give in to the relationship they both want to share. In One and Done Brita, a police detective, gets into a major jam. In true Honeybun fashion, the family rallies around her to help (ESPECIALLY PERCY). Will Brita finally cave and realize she needs Percy in her life? One and Done is sexy, suspenseful, funny and romantic all rolled up into one great book. (But hey it's the Honeybuns so it would have to be all those things right)? I highly recommend One and Don as well as the Honeybun Heat series. Can't wait to see where the Honeybun clan takes us next.

The Honeybuns in this series are a bunch of brothers who are each unique, but who are all strong, protective and chivalrous. Since the first book in the series we knew Percy and Brita, and they have been important parts of all the stories. She is a cop, he is a lawyer. She doesn't want Percy's chivalry, his protection, because she seems to take it that he doesn't consider she is able to take care of herself and others. Some time back in the series, Percy offended Brita with his he-man stuff, and they broke up. He never accepted it, has done everything he could to get back together, but it hasn't worked. She is very competent and self-reliant, with mad detective skills, and she can't take that he is always trying to protect her. Strangely enough, she has still been an integral part of the family anyway, very involved in the story as each Honeybun brother has found his honey and rescued her from whatever nasty situation she was involved in. To the Honeybun family, Brita is still Percy's honey, still part of the family. This time, Brita is the one who needs help. She walked in on the aftermath of a murder, then was attacked and lost her memory of who she was. She runs, knowing something is wrong, but Percy finds her and the family closes around her to help. Even without her memories, she is not one to let these men take the lead, but ultimately, she has to accept their help. Without telling too much more of the story, there is a lot of action, investigation, there are evil scientist, a horrible plot, fighting against hopeless odds, and a happy ending. I loved the characters, each brother is so different, but Percy is special. The other honeys only show up in the story just a little bit, and I wish we saw them interact with their Honeybun heroes more. Brita is a great character, really smart and strong. I never really understood her extreme negative reaction to being taken care of, which is central to this plot. Buy, given that is her reaction to he-man Percy, her behavior flows well. I really enjoyed this story. I received and ARC copy of this book and this is an honest review
