His new hire has a secret...

As far as Nina Beaumont is concerned, money ruins everything. Leave it to her wealthy family to screw up her professional life and her personal life. When she crashes and her car sinks, sending her identification and all her belongings spiraling into the watery abyss, Nina sees her chance to escape.

And stumbles into a job with the hottest man she's ever met...as his maid.

Between running an inn, caring for his grandmother, and trying to keep the dirty-dealing Beaumont Corporation from stealing his land, Joe Farina's plate is full. He doesn't have time for romantic entanglements-especially not with the suspiciously bad maid he just hired, no matter how much he needs her...both in and out of his bed.

Screwing with her life is one thing, but Nina's not about to let her family screw with Joe. That is, if she doesn't lose him when he finds out who she really is.

## A smidge above good. During the first 2 chapters I almost gave up on this book because the lead characters annoyed me so much. I found the heroine spoiled and immature and the hero kind of jerkish. However, I rarely don't finish a book so I forced myself to keep reading. It did get better, and I revised my opinion of these characters. Even though they weren't my favorites, they both had some very endearing qualities. I still thought Joe acted too old for a 30 year old and he definitely should've put Sarah in her place (wow, can you say superb*tch). The story line was fun though and of course there's a HFN ending. I do wish the ending had played out a little longer. Not the best, not the worst. 170 pages 3.5 stars

Wow! This was an amazing book that I really enjoyed reading. I have never read anything by Coleen but I can say that she is now on my list of authors to read. She did a great job writing this book and keeping me hooked. I read this book in like 3 or 4 hours and could NOT put it down. This book had it all. There were times where I was like what are you thinking? Then others times that I wanted to smack people and then the HOT times and then the sweet times. It had it all!!! Do not miss this book. In the beginning of this book Nina is upset because she just got a promotion at work and overheard coworkers talking about how she only got it because its her dad's company. She thought it was weird that she got it and to find out that's why upsets her because she wanted to earn it by hard work. She is talking to her friend and decides that she wants to get away somewhere incognito where no one knows her. Her friend thinks she couldn't handle not using her money and high end stuff but the fates had the same idea as Nina in the form of a duck. As she's driving she swerves to avoid hitting it and crashes into an old quarry sinking her car in the water, only coming out with her phone. With no id, money, or credit cards she puts her plan in place and ends up at a B&B. Using her mother's maiden name she becomes the maid and works hard as the maid, not letting on to her true identity. Nina is instantly attracted to Joe and falls more for him the more she learns about him, but she feels like she's not good enough for him since she feels like she hasn't accomplished anything in life. She finds out that working as a maid is hard work and has to deal with heat from one of the employees that just makes it harder. She has 3 weeks to figure out what she wants to do with her life and to try to make it as a maid. Joe is the owner of the B&B and is waiting for the late maid the temp service sent out and mistakes Nina as that person. Rushing through explaining everything to Nina he doesn't give her the chance to explain she is not the person the temp service sent. Joe is stressed to the max between all his obligations and trying to keep Beaumont Industries from taking his ocean side mansion that he wants to turn into a new B&B from him. He despises Nina's dad and when she finds out she is scared to tell him its her dad. Joe is insanely attracted to Nina and is scared to start anything with her because he was burned in the past so now he steers clear of commitment and is scared that if he did and it went bad he would be sued. Will the employees ever accept Nina? Will she be able to last the 3 weeks as a maid? Will Joe get past all his fears and be with Nina? Will she tell him her true identity and if so, how will he take it? I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

My Thoughts: From the start, I could completely empathize with Nina: when your life feels like it's not going the direction you'd like it to go and you're not appreciated for what you do. It would be nice to abandon your life, just for a little while, and experience something new and challenging. So when a duck waddles into the road causing Nina to drive her car into a quarry, she sees her chance and grabs onto it with both hands. Armed with only her phone and the clothes on her back, she runs into Joe who assumes she's there to work as his maid. She goes with it because this is exactly what she needs--a complete change. The attraction between Nina and Joe is apparent, although both of them realize they shouldn't since they work together. The temptation builds beyond their ability to resist and they fall into bed together. But Nina's secret might be the one thing that could hurt Joe more than anything. His Millionaire Maid was a funny and cute story! It was a teensy bit ridiculous as far as the circumstances Nina fell into by chance, but it was amusing and led her to where she wanted to be. The relationship with Nina and Joe was what they both needed--for her to live a simpler and more fulfilling life, and him to let loose a little bit. It was sweet and charming. I enjoyed all the side characters Nina encounters when she's in Hartley working for Joe. Coleen Kwan's story is a worthwhile read! My Rating: Very Good

3.5 very happy I read this Stars This was a very engaging read. I totally felt sorry for the poor little rich girl and her “nobody likes me for me” tale of woe. For real, that sounded kind of sarcastic but I swear when Nina is feeling low it brought tears to my eyes and I felt really bad about what her life was like. Joe was a sweetheart. A workaholic, control-freak-ish, super hot, soccer-playing sweetheart. The story goes like this: Nina is sick of people treating her deferentially just because her father is a billionaire. At a very crucial moment, she drives her car into a watery grave (all to save a duck) and all her belongings, including her ID, go down with it save her phone. Deciding to prove to everyone, but most of all, herself that she has worth by herself and not only for the last name she was born to, she accepts a job as a maid in Joe’s inn. Let’s just say that didn’t turn out as smooth as she thought it would. Joe is at the end of his rope, he is low on staff, has too many obligations with the town and his family, and a very insistent magnate (who incidentally is Nina’s father) is trying to buy the land his newly acquired B & B project is situated on. He most certainly doesn’t have time for relationships, or even entanglements, least of all with the hot little number that came late to her first day on the job and seems totally inexperienced in cleaning. Well, let’s just say that both Nina and Joe experience feelings for each other like nothing they’ve known before. Luckily for us, their control is pretty nonexistent leaving us with what turns out to be some really hot, steamy scenes. I really enjoyed His Millionaire Maid and Ms Kwan’s writing style. I was with them through the whole story and couldn’t help but feel for them. *I received a complimentary copy from the Publisher in exchange for an honest review*

***This ARC was received from Entangled Publishing via Netgalley in exchange for a honest review*** I totally understand wanting to get away from your life sometimes. I like how she dives into working at the Inn even though she had no experience. The story flowed well and had plenty of action without being too smutty.

This maid story is a bright twist and the love story between Joe and Nina was great.. ***A gifted copy was provided by the publisher for my honest review**** Nina Beaumont‘s story is somewhat unique. She is a young millionaire heiress, who comes from money and her family drives her crazy. They are causing her trouble in her work/professional life –I.E. Getting a promotion only because she is the boss’s daughter and finding out why she got the promotion because of her daddy being the boss and on her way home, she crashes her car and goes into water which causes her to lose her belongings including purse which holds her ID. All Nina sees this as a change, a sign that she can be someone new without her old life, family holding her back. So Nina is going to change her name from Nina Beaumont to Nina Summers and get a job working as a maid at a local inn in Northern California. It will be easy peasy, right? Not so fast… Joe Farina is the owner of the Inn that Nina goes into. He hires her and he has a lot on his plate. There is something about her that makes him take notice but he has so much on his plate. He has this company trying to take his land= this Beaumont Corporation trying to steal his land, then he is trying to care for his grandmother and then he has this new maid that he is attracted to. He notices she is not good at his job but he wants to give her a chance. Nina and Joe dance around their attraction and when Nina finds out what her father is trying to do to Joe, she knows if he ever found out who she really is, he would never ever forgive her and he would want her gone for good. It is great to see the two MC go toe and toe over their attraction to each other and to watch how Nina learned to do things without others doing for her. And to watch the chemistry between them which is off the charts. The emotions, at times, are so moving. I had my tissues handy because there are times when it will be needed. When Joe did find out about who Nina really was, the fireworks were explosive. Nina was heartbroken. She did go back to her father in order to get him to back off hurting Joe and his family/town/his Inn. There were several twists and turns in this story that made the ending much sweeter to me as a reader. Nina and Joe make the story because they are sexy, fiery, and independent people who are afraid to show their vulnerable sides but when they do, it makes the story so much better. My rating: 4.0 stars ****

At first after reading the blurb, I was a little unsure of how I would like this book. I was thinking it would be maybe a little snooty for me and that I would not like the heroine. BUT I am glad I did read this book. The heroine surprised me in that underneath her wealth, she had a heart of gold and truly wanted to prove she was more than her money. She was a delightful character who struggled to prove her self worth and learned how "real" people did things. I adored the character of Joe. He was a strong proud hardworking man who tried to see the best in people and give them the benefit of the doubt. Their flirtation was so cute, a little spicy and when they came together, it was fantastic. I loved their coupling. They complemented each other by bringing out what the other needed. I received this book in exchange for an honest review from the publisher.

This was an unique spin in the romance novels we are used to. Most involve a rich man, where she is the wealthy one and I think it made for a great story especially with no one knowing. The book brought out lots of angst and had me laughing at her constant snark as well. I enjoyed the book immensely and believe you should definitely give it a try.

His Millionaire Maid is a cute read by Coleen Kwan. It brings together two people in circumstances that you wouldn’t really expect. The writing itself is impressive. You’re not weighed down by verbosity and the characters themselves are spot on. This is another middle ground novel for me because I can’t say too much about it, or too little. It didn’t bowl me over, but it didn’t underwhelm me either. It fits in that perfect groove of a good read to pick up, sit down and relax. Joe’s life is hectic, when the synopsis tells you he had a lot on his plate, it’s not fibbing. He’s the dependable go-to guy for seemingly everyone in town. Not only does he not have time for romance, he’s more likely to run in the opposite direction of it. So when his new temp maid shows up late, with duckweed in her hair and not seeming to have a clue how to actually -be- a maid.. why is it that he is instantly intrigued? Nina, for me, really was the epitome of poor little rich girl, -at first-. That almost put me off the book completely, but I stuck with it due to her hilarious moments and I’m thankful I did. She even touches on that and calls herself as much. Nina is different though, then your typical silver spoon heroine that has everything handed to her. She -wants- to make her own way and prove herself, however, her family just isn’t letting her do that. She want to prove herself and show them, especially her father, that she’s more than just fluff and wants to get along on more than just the merit of being his daughter. So what better way then to go off the grid and hide out? I mean, it obviously has to help (somehow) that you accidentally run your car off the road and it sinks with all your identification in it, right? >__> Nina walks into Joe’s B&B looking for directions and instead finds a hot man, standing there in “Dexter and DeeDee” mom gloves. (You may need to look that up, but trust me, it’s worth it.) She’s instantly enamored, and while he’s curious about the hairdo, so is he. It’s not love at first sight, or even like, but it’s definite interest. These two butt heads from the get go, but there is this simmering underneath it that is more or less waiting to erupt if they give it the least chance. If you’re looking for a good, fun read, give this book at shot! It’s not completely intense, it is well written and the story is a nice escape.

Loved this one! Light, fun, and relaxing. Great writing and amusing characters make this one perfect for a lazy afternoon read. Joe Farina is plugging through life, running his inn, caring for his grandmother, and fighting off the attacks of the Beaumont Corp who is trying to get his property. Everything is under control. That is until Nina stumbles into his life. This is one I definitely recommend.
