About the Author

Charles M. Schulz was born in 1922 in Minneapolis, the only child of a housewife and a barber. His interest in comics was encouraged by his father, who loved the funny pages. After army duty, Schulz lettered comic pages for Timeless Topix, and sold seventeen cartoons to The Saturday Evening Post from 1948 to 1950 and a feature, Li'l Folks, to the St. Paul Pioneer Press. Peanuts debuted on October 2, 1950, and ran without interruption for the next fifty years. Schulz died on February 12, 2000, and his last strip ran the next day. Peanuts has appeared in 2,600 newspapers in 75 countries.

This book is so adorable. It reminds the reader that it's the smaller things in life that made us happy...from a smooth sidewalk to tying our own shoes. This is the perfect read for everyone, but is beneficial for those down on their luck and need a smile.

I am a Schultz fan, and had this book as a child. It is a lot of "warm" sentiment to baby boomers, but may sound strange to little ones in this century. Tempting to look for the metaphors, but just take it as it is! I could not help but laugh at 35? for a movie, 15? for popcorn, and a nickel candy bar!?!?! Those Peanuts characters just never grow up and always bring back pleasant memories. Since it is MY e-reader, I thought it was worth downloading.

My grandparents read this to me when i was little (i still have it). It is a bit...old fashioned, but wonderful! The greatest joys are the simplest ones. Introduce your children to the Peanuts characters through reading!

I am so glad that this book has been re-released! I remember this as a child and this is such a sweet little book. It teaches us to be thankful for what you have and appreciate the small things. You know, enjoy the simple things in life. You don't need a lot of money or possessions to make you happy....

Happiness is a little square book, with a pink cover, and bright, multi-colored pages inside.  Happiness is a bold, elegant font, and bold, elegant illustrations.  Happiness is Snoopy drawn by Charles M. Schulz.  So happiness may be a warm puppy, or happiness may be one thing to one person and another thing to another person, but this little book could bring a little bit of happiness.
