The result of thousands of letters requesting a children's version of The Greatest Salesman in the World. The Greatest Gift in the World is the two thousand year old story of Hafid, a camel boy with a burning desire to improve his position in life.
While working for his master, the caravan merchant Pathros, Hafid is sent to Bethlehem to sell one robe. Unfortunately, no matter how hard he tries, he is unable to achieve this task. In a moment of pity and compassion, Hafid gives the robe away, to warm a homeless newborn baby.
Upon returning to the caravan in shame, he is met by Pathros, who notices the star accompanying Hafid from Bethlehem. Interpreting this phenomenon as a sign from the gods. Pathos takes Hafid aside and gives him ten ancient scrolls containing the wisdom necessary for the boy to achieve all his ambitions. What these scrolls accomplished for Hafid - unlimited knowledge and success - they will also accomplish for you.
