Overview

Orphan. Runaway. Thief.

Since the moment I was ripped from my mother's womb, I've been an outcast amongst my own kind. The Sidhe might possess magical Gifts, unbelievable wealth and unfathomable power but I don't want a thing to do with them. I ran away from their lands in the Highlands of Scotland when I was eleven years old and I've never looked back. I don't need a Clan. I've got my own family of highly skilled thieves who mean more to me than any Sidhe ever could.Unfortunately for me, the playboy heir to the Moncrieffe Clan has something I desperately need. To get it back, I'm going to have to plunge myself back into that world, no matter what the consequences may be. I suppose it's just as well I have sense of humour. I think I'm going to need it.

By bestselling author Helen Harper, Gifted Thief is the first book in the Highland Magic series.

Integrity is an orphan Sidhe. Before she was born her father went mad and the other Clan leaders had to kill him and the rest of the clan. She was sent to the Bull’s court but at the age of eleven she runs away and joins some other clanless. To together they become a great thief team. But Integrity has gotten an invitation to return to the Moncrieffe Clan and plans on getting out of town. But when one of her friends owes a lot of money to a loan shark and two others find themselves in prison, she is going to have to return to the clan to free them. I really liked Integrity. She had a hard up bringing but has found her own family. Sadly since she is the last of her clan she is still needed. But who can you trust when it seems everyone is out to kill her, consequences be damned. Then there is Byron, is a Sidhe lords son but he doesn’t seem to be like the rest. He actually seems to care about Integrity, but that can’t be when he is the one that blackmailed her into returning. But I have to say that my favorite character is Bob and his scimitar, too funny!! I really liked Gifted Thief. There are great characters and a wonderful story. There is a lot of action and a great potential love interest. I am excited to see where this story goes in the next book. I received Gifted Thief for free from Reading Addition Virtual Book Tours in exchange for an honest review.

A Must Read! LOVED IT!!!!!!!!! Title: Gifted Thief Author: Helen Harper Genre: Urban Fantasy Format: Ebook Pages: 348 Rating: 5 Setting: Scotland Main Characters: Integrity, Byron Supporting Characters: Taylor, Bob, Speck, Lexie, Brochan Summary: Integrity fled the Sidhe when she was eleven and didn’t look back, even though she herself is Sidhe. She was taken in by a master thief, Taylor, whom she looked to as a father. Now years later she is forced to go back to the Sidhe to save her friends and, it turns out, the rest of humanity. Thoughts: I kept coming back to this book so I finally grabbed it, and am I thankful I did. A gripping story that pulls the reader in and leaves you panting for more. I couldn’t stop reading, so many twists and possible enemies that nothing is sure until the very end. I really enjoyed reading this and look forward to the next book in the series. I now have another author to stalk! I received a free copy from NetGalley for an honest review.
