The writing is lively and enthusiastic, highlighting the canines' endearing qualities while also noting potential challenges for pet owners, such as Yorkies' proclivity for "naughty" behavior and huskies' escape talents. Photographs depict dogs in action, interacting with people and animals, and just being cute. Each book includes one "That's Amazing!" spread with a true story about an exceptional individual pup, ranging from heroic rescuers to a dog with artificial legs. Several "fun fact" insets and a closing quiz round out the titles. VERDICT Appealing additions to dog breed collections.
