A jewel of a book! Of all the materials that I've been collecting to help me increase my very basic knowledge of German, this is the most helpful. I'm going to read it outloud again and again, to strengthen my command of what's in this book (a lot although presented in such an easy to digest way!), then go to his pre-intermediate book and then his three intermediate books. Thank you, thank you, Brian Smith, for this book. I can see that you put a lot of thought and knowledge into it and I am so excited to know that I have four more of your books ahead of me! I go to Europe often and I know that these books will make a tremendous difference for me.
