As a child I read Frog and Toad are Friends. It was so brilliant and entertaining and had morals that even adults need to learn from. I'm an adult, and I still would love to look over the book for fun. You're never too old to read Frog and Toad are Friends.

As a child, I adored Frog and Toad. Used to daydream about living next door and sharing their adventures. I bought this for my niece, and read it to her all the time, and find that I love the stories just as much now as I did back then, and so does she.

The vocabulary from school is used in the books. Fun for adults, too! Great pictures.

My son's first grade teacher gives all her students "Frog and Toad are Friends" as a Birthday gift. After reading it I knew why this is one of her favorite books. My son and I enjoyed it so much I bought the whole series. The stories are wonderful to read. I have never seen a book with such sweet stories of kindness, friendship and relationships. It is a must have for every child.

Good book in my choice. The way that children gain relationships when they are young doing activities as a group with another child could be used from this book. They also could read this when beginning to read. The easy, big text it gave and the pictures in the book too. It could teach a lesson to have one close friend that you could do everything with .

This is a really good book on friendship and teamwork that would be good in younger level classrooms. It's hits topics such as embarrassment, being patient, and of course, being a good and supportive friend. I think it would be a fun read loud because it's a few stories within one book, so the students would be excited to hear about Frog and Toad's escapades each day.

Frog and Toad have somewhat of a brotherly relationship. Frog helps Toad when he is sad or in trouble. They learn mini lessons in each chapter: will power, patience, etc. This is a good book for children who are learning to read. The words are simple, and the text is big. I highly recommend.

A collection of 5 short stories about Frog and Toad¿s adventures. My favorite short story from the book is titled Dragons and Giants. In Dragons and Giants, Frog and Toad were reading a book of fairy tales and it made them wonder if they were brave like the characters in the book. They go outside to test their braveness by climbing a mountain. As they started climbing they were greeted by a hungry snake, an avalanche of rocks, and a hawk looking for prey. After they finish their hike, there is an illustration of Toad hiding in his covers and Frog hiding in the closet.I remember this book being mentioned in Andrew Clements¿ book titled Extra Credit when I read it, which is what influenced me to read it. I thought the book was cute and that it would be great for kids who are having trouble reading. Extension Ideas1. Classify animals based on their characteristics into amphibian, mammal, etc.2. Read the short story titled Cookies to teach about self-will.

The endearing friendship of frog and toad is explored in five stories in this book. They look for lost buttons, wait for the mail, make up stories, go for a swim, and take joy in the coming of spring.

I have always loved Frog and Toad. They are fun short stories that are easy for any child to enjoy. The pictures that accompany the stories are delightful and humorous. It is a great way for children to understand the relationship between two friends and how they help each other out.In class, you can have your students get together in groups and come up with another adventure for Frog and Toad to share.

Frog and Toad books are a series of books that are loved by many young readers. Frog and Toad Together is arranged like a chapter book, but is actually five separate stories. In each story there is a lesson to be learned. I think all classrooms and libraries should have the Frog and Toad collection in them. The stories in these books offer students a chance to read a longer, chapter-like book. but with an easier reading level than most chapter books. I would use these books in my classroom for different purposes. I think they would be good to read to expose kids to quality literature. I also think that they would be good to teach children how to figure out the moral of the story. This also helps with comprehension of longer stories.

A great beginning read for children, although there are not too many pictures I still enjoyed the book. I think this would be great for bedtime and could be used to teach or emphasize the importance of friends.

PrimaryGenre: Fantasy- Frog and Toad do things that humans do even though they are a frog and toad. In fantasy, animals talk and do things that are not realistic to their real behaviors. That is why this book is a fantasy.Setting: This is a backdrop setting because Frog and Toad could be anywhere. They never say where they are at or where their home is.

Summary: There were five different stories in this book all about Toad and Frog and their friendship and journeys. Response: These are very fun stories to read with fun illustrations. Connection: Kids would love reading these stories on their own or in a small group. Could discuss what they do with their friends and how they help their friends.

Frog and Toad make lists, teach one another how to have will power, plan a garden, and try to be brave together.

This is a great book for a beginner reader. The vocabulary is simple but also contains some words and concepts that would add to a child's vocabulary and understanding of the world. This book contains 5 stories about good friends Frog and Toad. They go on adventures together and learn an important lesson along the way. They learn about will power when trying to not eat all the cookies, patience when waiting for a garden to grow, bravery when facing scary obstacles, and the value of friendship in a scary dream. The stories are funny and enjoyable to read. They are written in a way that children can easily understand the dilemma and the resolution of it. Frog and Toad think the way that children often do which makes it easy to learn from. They are quick to read and amusing and deserving of the Newbery honor that it received. The illustrations that accompany these lessons and make them even funnier.

I bought this book for my grandson who is in first grade. He has enjoyed others in this series, so he was anxious to use his reading skills to share this book with me. Each story was good for predicting the end and chuckle at Frog's and Toad's latest adventure.
