Overview

He's being paid to watch over her, which means he should keep his hands to himself. Will she forgive him when she discovers he's been lying to her all a long?

Getting paid to watch over a city girl on vacation seems too good to be true for Braden Clark. In the personal protection business, he's used to working a lot harder for a lot less. But if some girl's rich daddy wants to pay him, he'll take it, no questions asked.

Watching Juliette Collins blossom outside of her father's shadow for the first time is an experience he wasn't counting on and soon Braden's brand of protection becomes a little too personal. He's mixing business with pleasure and lying to a woman he cares about.

After discovering her father's secret, a family she never knew about, Juliette is eager to discover everything else she's missed in her sheltered life – including the hot, muscular guy that seems to be everywhere she looks.

But what happens when she discovers his secret? That he's been paid to watch over her all along?

## FABULOUS. I loved this little gem of a book. I really enjoyed "Fearless" (book 1) so I picked this one up hoping I'd like this one as well. And I surely did. Juliette was an amazing heroine. I adored her. She was strong yet sweet. I skipped book 2 because I didn't care for the synopsis, but after liking both these so much, I may give it a go. It's a little on the short side with 135 pages, but at no time did it feel rushed to me. Well done.

5 star review Freed (Rosewood Bay #3) by Carly Phillips   Book three in what has become one of my favourite series. I thoroughly enjoy Ms. Phillips writing style and Freed is no exception. Her characters are strong and easy to relate too and I particularly liked how she built the story up. For years Juliette Collins has been isolated from the world, not knowing that she has sisters who have been searching for her. That is until she discovers a file on her father’s computer and she learns the shocking truth. Her father is dead set against her seeking out her sisters but Juliette has had enough, she wants, no needs, to know her siblings. Braden Clark, a private investigator, has been employed to watch over Juliette by her over protective father. What he doesn’t count on is being attracted to his charge. The attraction growing between Juliette and Braden is strong and hard to ignore. Life is about to get complicated for these two. What will happen when Juliette finds out the truth about who he really is? Will she be able to forgive his deception? It was so nice to catch up on the previous two couples and see what is happening in their lives and it was heart warming to watch the love and relationship develop between Juliette and her sisters,Phoebe and Halley. I truly felt for Braden and the struggle he has with a father suffering from Alzheimer's and the difficulties he has in trying to keep his business afloat and care for his father. The chemistry between Juliette and Braden, their story romantic. I really liked both the main characters and found myself totally engrossed in their story. Although a stand alone I do think you would enjoy reading book 1 Fearless as well. This series gets better and better and I cannot wait for the next book in the Rosewood Bay series.

Freed is the third book in the Rosewood Bay series, and it features Juliette, the long-lost sister that Phoebe and Halley were hoping to find. This was a quick and enjoyable summer's day read for me. I really liked Juliette. For a girl who had grown up sheltered and coddled by her father, she was sweet, down-to-earth and eager to live an independent life. Juliette and Braden fit very well together; they connected instantly and seemed to have an innate understanding of the other. I'm looking forward to Andi's story next. Well writen and edited. Each about 130 pages and $4.99 is too much for that.

“They could be a good team, she thought, not in the least bit frightened off by the strong feelings she was developing for this special man.” Juliette Collins, 26, lives with her father, a famous and successful banker, in a big city and has everything she needs at her fingertips. Until she finds out that not everything her father told her about her family is true. Branden Clark, an only child, lives in Rosewood Bay, where he works as a private investigator and takes care of his father, who is in early stages of Alzheimer's. He just did not expect that, a brunette with beautiful blue eyes who he was hired to follow, could swing his heart. Juliette's journey to Rosewood Bay is not just a journey in search of the true story of her family. It is a journey of freedom and self-discovery, where for the first time she will live on her own and discover her characteristics and abilities. The plot is well developed and with some surprises throughout the narrative, which is short and fluid. The relationship of Juliette and her sisters is one of the book's strengths. Her summer plans with Branden are equally interesting. Juliette's family gives her joy and disappointment in equal parts. Facts that make she thinks and rethinks her future and makes some difficult decisions. The end is that cliché, almost totally obvious and yet a delight to read.

4.5 Stars I loved Freed, the third book in the Rosewood Bay series, a sweet romance with a little drama that features Juliette, the Ward’s baby sister. While it’s a Standalone I would suggest you read them in order to get an idea how anticipated her story is. As always the writing is superb and I read it in one sitting right up to the very happy end! Juliette Collins grew up as a privileged only child, in a Manhattan penthouse, by a doting and over protective father after her mother died when she was an infant. Now twenty-six she’s still living at home, after graduating from college, caring for her father for the last eight years after he suffered a heart attack. When she accidentally finds out the terrible secret her father had been keeping from her, that she has two siblings she never knew about, she confronts her father and decides to find them. The search takes her to Rosewood Bay where she finds a loving family she didn’t know she had and possibly the love of her life. Braden Clark has had a rough few years. The private investigator left his job as a NYPD to take over his father’s business, Clark Investigations, after his father was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. Now thirty he’s working and saving every cent to take care of his father, knowing his dad will eventually have to go into nursing care. When he’s hired by Andrew Collins to follow Juliette, and report back to him, he’s happy to get the well paid and cushy job. This will be money in savings for his father’s care. When he becomes involved with Juliette the last thing Braden expected was to betray her too, like her father did, with a web of lies.  “I realized what I’d be missing out on by letting the past control me. You need to think about those same things.”

This was a quick but enjoyable read. Juliette initially came across as spoiled and protected, which she was. However, once she discovered that she has sisters that her dad hide from her, she leaves that protected cocoon and sets out on her own. Braden, a private investigator, is hired by Juliette's father to keep an eye on her when she comes to town. While I'm not the biggest fan of a relationship developing with clear secrets being kept, Braden's side is understandable. He was hired for a job, the funds of which he uses to support a father with dementia, but he quickly starts to fall for Juliette. Juliette quickly breaks from the spoiled princess mold, gets a job, and starts to learn how to lives her own life. Her reunion with her sisters, heroines of the earlier books, is sweet. The drama of the book comes from familial relationships but does not take away from the love story between Juliette and Braden. Overall, this was a lovely read and one I wouldn't mind rereading at a later date, lounging on the beach.

Sweetly sexy, highly entertaining, emotionally thrilling and engaging romantic journey filled with new experiences, undiscovered family ties, witty banter and passion. Juliette Collins is sweet, charming, shy and has lived her whole life in the constant care of her overprotective father and has just discovered he kept a huge secret from her. She has sisters and has made up her mind to venture into the world and get to know them..... Loved this sweetly thrilling adventure.

In Freed, we finally get to meet the missing Ward sister, Juliette. She finds out that she has two sisters her father never told her about and sets out to met them. Having been sheltered for most of her life, she is ready to be on her own. Braden is a local PI who is hired by Juliette's father to watch over her and give him regular reports. This is another solid addition to the series. I really liked Juliette and the fact that she wasn't a naive and spoiled rich kid. For someone who had been sheltered most of her life, she was surprisingly street smart and had a good head on her shoulders. It was easy to see why Braden would end up liking her. They were great together. His story was more heartbreaking as he dealt with his father's worsening Alzheimer's. I really enjoyed their love story. I do wish that there was more interaction between Juliette and her sisters. I felt like I could have used more on page time with them getting to know each other. This is a sweet and fun series. I do recommend giving it a shot. I am looking forward to reading Andi's story, especially after reading the epilogue. I'm intrigued! *I received a copy of the book from the author

This is a lovely series that are easy to read romances with a homey, small town vibe - no ott drama or craziness - just real feeling stories. I have to say that this one is my fave of the Rosewood Bay series (so far, 1 more to go!). I loved that Juliette was down to earth and a lovely character. She and Braden made a great match and I loved how their story came together. Lots of feelings and it just warmed my heart! Interested to see how Andi's story turns out in book 4...

Secrets exposed! With the next book in the Rosewood Bay series, we get to meet the long-lost sister Juliette. After discovering she has sisters out there, she makes her way to town and connects with Phoebe and Halley. It's fun to watch these two sisters who have been so close since they reconnected be able to share memories with the sister who didn't even remember they existed. Emotionally gritty and powerful! Sheltered heiress Juliette Collins has lived her life as Daddy's Little Girl and it's the only life she knows, but when she stumbles across a file in her father's safe that informs her she has half-sisters she never knew about out there, she's shocked. She never imagined her father would lie to her, but here's proof that not only did he, but he's been keeping her tethered to his side when she could have had more family to share in her life. She's not going to stand by and watch the world pass her by anymore ... she's heading to Rosewood Bay to find her sisters! Security expert Braden Clark figures it will be easy money when he gets a call from Andrew Collins requesting he keep tabs on his daughter while she's in town. Follow up on the rich girl and report to Daddy on occasion about her comings and goings ... no problem. Until he meets her and becomes taken with her. She's such an authentic person, and he enjoys watching her come into her own self as she's getting to enjoy so many little things in life ... her first job, her first apartment, meeting her sisters for the first time. It doesn't take long for him to be in deep with her ... but she doesn't know her father has been paying him to spend time with her!

I have been following the Rosewood Bay series and these books are exactly what I need. The third book. Freed, had me captured from page one. I have been dying for Juliette's story.I did not expect Braden. He is yummy and I claim him as mine. I love the drama factor that will keep you on your toes. I stayed wondering what will happen next. The back story between these two characters has your heart twisting. You want to give these two both a hug and carry their burden. That makes these two perfect for each other. Braden has open himself up to Juliette except for one secret. He knows it will be a life changer. This is a make it or break it kind of deal. I loved every word and all the sexy times scenes. They were HOT and now I need to make a bucket list of what I need to do on my own. Juliette came off as a quiet character, but when she was with Braden, I was even surprised how she was blunt to the point. That girl will definitely tell you what she wants and how she wants it. The sisters made me smile. Read Freed and fall in love with love all over again!

I’ve been dying for Juliette’s story, and how Carly would bring her in to the mix. Carly definitely didn’t disappoint. Juliette and Braden’s story was AMAZING! She came from a bit (ok, completely) sheltered life, so seeing her on her own, making something of herself, and standing up to those who have manipulated her, is refreshing. I was a bit surprised how she handled her mother. Not many would handle it the way she did the first time around, and I LOVED that about her. Braden was perfect for her. Sexy, sweet, and showing her just how amazing she really is. Halley and Pheobe’s first reactions when Juliette had me in tears. Their reactions to her were perfect! Her dad? I could’ve throat punched... a lot . A fantastic addition to this series I would definitely recommend!!!

This is the third book in a series. I have not read the first two books. I had no problem getting into this story. Juliette was an only child, at least that was what her father had told her. She accidentally found out she had two sisters. She left her dad to find her sisters. Her father has been manipulating her all her life. He hired a private detective to keep an eye on her. Braden does his job a little too well. This was a great read without all the needless details that seem to bog down some books. it did make me want to read the first two books and the rest of the series.

Just when I think the last book I’ve read by Carly Phillips will be my favorite, she writes another book that become my new favorite book. I swear I didn’t think I would fall in love with another of the Ward sisters the way I did with the first 2 books in the series, and I was so glad to see I was wrong. While Juliette is a Collins rather than a Ward like Phoebe and Halley, she is every bit a Ward from the moment she meets her sisters. Juliette Collins really did have what seemed like the perfect life. Her father dotes on her and she has all the luxuries money can buy. My heart absolutely broke for Juliette when she discovered her father had not only known about her sisters and mother, but done everything in his power to keep them out of her life. I think I fell in love with Juliette when she not only confronted her father, and then decided to take back her life. I loved Juliette decided to go to Rosewood Bay to meet her sisters. She is a bit unsure of herself in the beginning and finding her footing as she has never been on her own before. I loved that while she had no training to be a waitress, she jumped in and worked her hardest to work in the local coffee shop. I think Juliette's determination to live her new life to the fullest was one of the things I loved best about her. I adored Braden Clark. He was such a yummy hero! He is a cop turned PI and moved back to his hometown to care for his aging father. How could you not fall head over heels for this guy?!?! Watching Braden care for his father Jonathan and try and keep him home as long as possible absolutely pulled at all of my heartstrings. My only issue was him keeping the secret that Juliette's dad had hired him to watch over her. I really felt like he should have been honest with her much sooner, but even with that error in judgement, I still loved him. Juliette and Braden might have been a bit of a set up meeting thanks to him working for her father, but I felt their connection pretty much from the very beginning. I absolutely fell in love with them as a couple. Their chemistry was so freaking hot, and I loved that Braden totally let Juliette set the pace. Seriously sigh worthy romance between these two. I really wish I could say I understood any of what Juliette's dad had been thinking by keeping her all to himself and even going to some pretty major extremes to try and get her to come back home. If there was ever a character who deserved the love of all her family members, it was Juliette and I loved she was strong enough to seek out her sisters and Aunt Joy and finally have a real family. I loved Halley, Phoebe, and Juliette had each other after totally having won the crap parents lottery with their mom and Juliette's dad. Freed pulled me in from the very first page and I absolutely could not put this book down. I loved it so much I re-read it multiple times to experience this emotional and sexy romance all over again. I highly recommend both this book and the entire Rosewood Bay series to all contemporary romance fans. Rating: 5 Stars (A) Review copy provided by publisher

4.5 Stars This steamy book 3 in the Rosewood Bay series features the delicious Braden Clark and Juliet Collins. These two just fit perfectly together, although from different sides of the track. Juliet is naïve because she was extremely sheltered by her father but she’s far from stupid. I’m so glad she finally opened her eyes to her VERY manipulative father. I was kind of hoping for more conflict with Emily but it was not meant to be. I’m so glad we finally got to meet the youngest sister and sad that we didn’t get to hear from the Aunt, who's been in each of the other books in this series. Great story with fabulous characters! I can’t wait for book four.

Juliette spent her entire life sheltered by the epitome of a helicopter father - a supposedly grieving widower. One day she discovers the truth that her mother is still alive and she has 2 half sisters. Braden, a former cop, is dealing with the declining health of his father and running a PI firm. Watching some spoiled rich girl for the summer who has gone away first time sounded easy enough. He couldn't be more wrong as he and Juliette cannot deny their chemistry together. Luckily despite the shaky foundation to their relationship, they are able to overcome it all for their own HEA. This is the third book in the series and a great continuation of the lives of the Rosewood Bay ladies. Good easy read. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Freed is the third book in the Rosewood Bay series and now my favorite as well. Juliette's story is one of self-discovery having been sheltered by an overprotective father she wants to find her sisters, provide for herself and figure out who she truly is. Braden is the man hired to keep an eye on Juliette; however, he discovers there is more to the Manhattan Princess than just a pretty face. Can Juliette and Braden overcome the obstacles placed in their path?? I guess you'll have to grab this amazing read and find out!

Freed is the third book in the Rosewood Bay series and we finally get to meet the unknown sister, Juliette Collins. Phoebe and Halley Ward knew they had a younger sister but have not been able to find her ever since Juliette's dad took her away. What they didn't know was that she was living a very privileged and sheltered life in New York City. When Juliette finds out she has half sisters and that her dad kept that news from her she is livid. Juliette then decides she is taking her own life into her own hands and travels to Rosewood Bay to get to know her sisters. What Juliette didn't expect was that Phoebe and Halley are wonderful people and she is so excited to be a part of their lives. Juliette also didn't expect to find a man that she is strongly attracted to, but Braden Clark becomes that man. Too bad Juliette doesn't know that her dad hired Braden to watch over her. While things heat up between him and Juliette, Braden starts to feel guilty about working for her dad. As Braden helps Juliette navigate taking control of her own life, he is quickly fall hard for her and she for him. What seems like a perfect relationship quickly turns into something horrible when Juliette's dad shows up. It takes an act of faith, and some family love for these two to get to their happy ending. I liked Juliette. Even though she was sheltered her whole life, she still had the will to take control back and it was fun seeing her do many things that others do younger in life. I really loved Braden. He was so sweet and loving and yet sexy at the same time. I really loved how he was with his dad too! Such a hard story line, but he dealt with it the best way he could. I also loved the little sneak peak at Andi's story! I can't wait to read it!
