I have a crush on my boss' best friend.
At least it's not my brother's best friend.
Or my best friend's brother.
Or... never mind. It's all pretty cliche.

And worse? My boss' best friend is his business partner. Which sort of makes him my boss too.
Okay - it's not sort of. It's definite. Gabe Laurent is off limits. Totally off limits.

Which is fine. I make do with my imagination. He'll never know. Ever.

Unless my work bestie passes me an eighties-style teen movie sex quiz during a meeting and I fill it out.

And it ends up in Gabe's hands...

About the Author

Jana Aston likes cats, big coffee cups and books about billionaires. She wrote her debut novel while fielding customer service calls about electrical bills, and she's forever grateful for the fictional gynecologist in Wrong that readers embraced so much she was able to make working in her pajamas a reality. Jana's novels have appeared on the New York Times, USA Today and Wall Street Journal bestseller lists, some multiple times. She likes multiples.

This story was barely there. Shes attracted to her "boss" but is shy and is suddenly going to a work party barely dressed and having sex with no conversation. Pair this with constant crude language and thats all this 70 pages has to offer.

This book was short, sweet, and beyond sexy! This was another homerun for Jana Aston! Her characters are so quirky and sexy and honest and just real. I honestly can't get enough of them... and Gabe and Sandra are definitely no exception. This couple just can't help but sizzle. They just draw you right into the story, and from then on you're a goner, hanging on every word until the ending sneaks up on you and smacks you right in the face. I just wasn't ready for this book to end. I wanted more. Lucky for me there's another book coming soon. It won't be Gabe and Sandra, but I'm sure I'll be just as amped about those characters. This book and this entire Wrong series really is just so incredibly captivating. It's extremely sexy, but there's also an honesty and an innocence to it that just makes it feel very soulful. I would highly recommend this book to anyone looking for a sweetly provocative read. * I received an ARC of this book from the author and voluntarily chose to review. All opinions are my own.

A fast paced sweet and sexy read! Sandra, executive assistant to the CEO, has a crush on Gabe Laurant, her boss's best friend and business partner. Sandra and her best friend, Preston, Gabe's assistant, are sitting in a quarterly meeting bored. They are struggling to fill out their surveys on the meeting's quality when Preston decides to make up his own quiz. He tailor makes this quiz for Sandra's crush on Gabe and convinces her to fill it out. Sandra fills it out honestly believing no one will ever read it. Then, the survey disappears only to end up in Gabe's hands. Gabe is determined to prove that Sandra has filled out the quiz. Let the games begin!!!

I absolutely love her writing style, and more often than not, I laugh out loud because of how funny her books are. Even as a novella this was great.

❤ 4.5 stars - only because I wish it had been longer! ❤ I forgot it was a novella while I was reading and wasn’t quite ready for their story to end so quickly. I also had a blast doing an immediate mini re-read in order to highlight and bookmark my favorite sexy and funny moments. ❤ I've already started reading Trust (Wrong #3), Chloe's story and the final standalone novel in this wonderfully sexy and light-hearted series.

4+ “OMG I just had sex at work” Stars Ms. Aston’s style just does it for me. I find her books funny, witty, sexy and refreshing. The silly jokes and weird characters are what I love most. Sandra has been in puppy-teen-love from afar with her boss’s best friend, who happens to be the second in command in the company and whose office is right across from her desk. She’s over a decade younger than him and not even in the same dimension with the sexy women Gabe usually goes out with. That doesn’t mean she can’t fantasize about doing naughty things with him. Gabe has known Sandra has a crush on him for some time, but he had never really thought about going after her. Mainly because she’s not the kind of woman he goes for (the temporary type), but when a sex survey in Sandra’s handwriting falls into his hands his interest is piqued. And when Sandra comes to the New Year’s company party looking like a bombshell he just can’t help himself. Sandra knows the score, but it seems Gabe finds her easiness to accept their fling as just a fling difficult and sets to show her exactly why she should be pining after him. I loved Gabe and his inability to let Sandra go, and how in spite of being a mature, successful man he could be so obtuse about his own feelings. Sandra was slightly OCD and this just endeared her so much more to me. She was sweet, ultra efficient and unknowingly funny. I liked how even though this is a short story, I could connect to the characters and feel invested in the outcome of their relationship. I believe this can absolutely be read as a standalone and be just as funny, engaging and downright amazing. I completely enjoyed Fling and I’m definitely doing a whole series reread soon! *I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book*

Was sweet and funny.

I believe it was about 80 nook pages, with similar scenes from the movie Sixteen Candles. It was a short story with some steamy scenes, very little conflict, and some giggle moments. About a girl with a crush on one of the bosses, said boss does not even seem to be attainable for someone like her, so unlikely to notice her..... read to find out what happens. If your in the mood for a quick read this book is for you. If you are also a Sixteen Candles fan even better ;) ****

Good god, this novella was spot on! When I heard Gabe and Sandra were getting a novella instead of a full length novel I had the sads. How could I fall in love with the characters without chapters upon chapters? Well what do I know? Fling had it all. It is like a classic 80's movie with all of the goodness of a fresh homemade cookie. Gabe is exactly what I hoped he'd be! I've never wanted my husband to wear fake glasses more than I do right now! Sandra was perfect. Fling is spot on. A fabulous novella full of fun and spark. Preston stole the show with his sidekick shenanigans. I'm loving getting more stories from one of my favorite authors!

This was a seriously funny, sexy, delightful novella about Gabe and Sandra. If you have read Jana's book, Right, you are familiar with these two characters. If you haven't, it is not necessary because Jana gives us plenty of background on who they are. Gabe is the CFO and business partner of Sawyer Camden, owner of Clemens Corporation. Sandra is Sawyer's executive assistant and has been crushing on Gabe for a long, long time. What happens when a misplaced piece of paper ends up the wrong hands? Jana knows how to write funny, sarcastic, witty characters. Gabe and Sandra have incredible chemistry together and her bestie Preston, who also happens to be Gabe's assistant was a hoot throughout this book. I loved the 80's references in the book because that's the era I grew up in. I had some really good laugh out loud moments in this book and it was a real delight to find out what happens with these two characters. After reading Right and learning of Sandra's crush on Gabe, I was really hoping that Jana would expand on their story. This story was a novella so it was short, but Jana gave us a satisfying conclusion. But I'm really hoping and praying that Gabe and Sandra are going to be included in her next book, Trust so that we get to see more of them and what antics they come up with next!

If you’re looking for a fun romance with some laugh out loud at moments kinda story look not further you really need to read Sandra and Gabe’s story. You can read this as a standalone but if you love it half as much as I did don’t miss out on reading Wrong and Right. “I think sweet Sandra has a hidden dirty side, and I’d really like to uncover it.” Meet Sandra executive assistant to the CEO Sawyer Camden at Clemens Corporation. She’s twenty-six reliable, and very focused. She has a major crush on one of the bosses he’s not her boss but he’s still way out of her league. “Sandra wants to do dirty, dirty things with him on his desk.” Meet the sexy Gabe Laurent the CFO at Clemens Corporation, part owner, and Sawyer’s best friend. Millionaire. One of the most eligible bachelors in Philadelphia. After an anonymous survey was improvised with a personal quiz from the latest meeting he realizes one of his employees has a crush on him. “Holy sh**, he must think I’m throwing myself at him. As if I would ever do that. No. If a man is interested in me, he’ll let me know.” Everly who we really get to know in Right helps Sandra and Gabe both see what’s right in front of them with her over the top ways. Gabe usually likes his woman to be temporary, nothing like a little jealously to change his mind fast about that. “He’s still fully dressed and it makes me feel dirty in the best possible way.” Sandra is my girl. I was honored with having this character named after me. It’s pretty incredible seeing your name in a book with a thank you which I have had a few times now but when the character is actually named after you it’s a whole other feeling. “They kill me. Thick-rimmed glasses that should be nerdy, but holy hell, are anything but on him.” I hope you love Sandra and Gabe’s story as much as I do. Happy Reading 

Lately, I've been in something of a book funk so it's been difficult to find books that would keep me interested. But I figured, reading a short and fun story cannot go Wrong :D And I was Right :D Having read Jana Aston before, I knew what I am up for. And that's usually fun with a pinch of romance and sprinkled with hotness. And that's what I got with Fling. It is a short so that makes it the perfect read for a relaxing night at home. Especially, when you don't feel like dragging a book for few days and I don't have the time to sit for long time and finish a full length novel. I loved Gabe and Sandra. Though the story is somewhat typical in terms of the playboy falling for the betrayed in the past shy girl, it is still innovative and interesting to read. Gabe is definitely fun to be around and I just loved the chapters written from his POV. His inner monologue simply cracked me up :D And his banter with Preston was out of this world :D Sandra is quite different from Gabe. She is shy and her self esteem took a serious beating after her ex-dumped her. But everything spins out of control when her not so innocent quiz ends up in the hands of the one person who souldn't read it. And as they say, the rest is history :D So, to sum it up :D If you are in the mood for a fun and short read, thats the one for you :D Pick up your copy and get to know Sandra and Gabe :) This review was originally posted at Living In Our Own Story Book Blog. I received an ARC of the book in exchange of an honest review.

*4.5 Stars* Good golly was this a fun read! Aston seems to have romantic comedy down to an art. And I loved the nod to John Hughes she incorporated in Fling! We met Sandra and Gabe in Right. Sandra has a huge crush on Gabe but believes he'd never look twice at her since he's gorgeous, rich, an the CFO of the company where she works. Add to that, it'd be unprofessional to have a fling with someone who is technically her boss, and Sandra is nothing if not professional. But she's wrong about Gabe not looking twice. ;) What ensues is a fun little interlude in the Wrong world told in dual POV - Sandra's and Gabe's. The fall - for them both - was highly entertaining with antics from best friends and partners-in-crime. And as this story unfolds in the same timeline as Right - in fact, we relive a scene from Right through Sandra's and Gabe's eyes - I got to spend a little more time with Everly and Sawyer. A true pleasure! Fling was a delightful little morsel of a read. And now I'm gearing up for Trust!

I seriously love everything Jana Aston writes. I mean after I finish her books, I always swear it's my favorite lol but FLING really is hahaha. I promise. I laughed out loud at so many times at Sandra's inner dialogue. And oh my gosh I die for her and Preston's vibes..D I E ! Everyone needs a Preston in their life, he needs his own book!! But Gabe and Sandra...Gah, I just couldn't get enough of those two. Gabe with those sexy as heck glasses of his, his cocky attitude. Most of all I loved how he took control of sweet, shy Sandra. Haha professional Sandra didn't know how to act, having him wanting to devour her. They were without a doubt a perfect duo. FLING is witty and sexy and I would definitely recommend it to all my bookbabes. Can't wait for TRUST

NO one does comedy romance quite like Jana Aston!! I don't know how she does it! Makes us laugh out loud, feel awkward and swoon at the same time. This was a quick feel good read. It's funny, awkward and oh so sexy. What you would expect from this author. Another great read from Jana Aston!!!!
