The Vampire Detective series is a fun paranormal/urban fantasy mystery series with a snarky amateur detective, and a slow burn reverse harem romance.

Lucinda was a vampire and a PI. She is formally almost engaged to William, really good friends with inventor Derek, received a blind cat as a gift and avoids contact with other vampires when possible. She was given a referral for a new client from William but something feels off. So the mystery begins. This is a wonderfully written cozy vampire mystery. The characters are interesting, well developed, slightly odd and funny. The storyline like most mysteries is littered with twists, turns and surprises as Lucy tries to navigate both the mystery and her complicated personal life. The narrative is hilarious and the dialogue is too. It is an easy, lighthearted story that brightens your day. It is the first in a series so do not expect the full story to be completed at the end. This book has definitely left me wanting more. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

This is not my favorite book from this author. While Lucy is “cute” the story is disjointed between her and William. Add in Derek and the problem gets complicated. It ends with a cliff hanger but I’m not sure I liked this enough to read further. I received a free copy of this book and I am voluntarily leaving my honest review.

Fangs for Nothing by Laura Greenwood and Arizona Tape is an interesting vampire detective story. This novella is about a vampire named Lucinda who fancies herself to be a private investigator. The main character Lucinda is surrounded by several male characters that were unique unto themselves. This novella had several mysteries going on at once which made it interesting however the one thing I did not like is the story left me hanging. There was no final conclusion to anything just a cliffhanger which is why I only give it 4 stars. Fangs for Nothing is an incomplete mystery.

Not your typical Vampire Lucinda a vampire and private investigator, she left her family to be out on her own to prove herself a great PI, she takes on a case to find a lost item that leads her on a path of hidden secrets and agendas. While juggling her personal life of conflicted feelings with a disgruntled mother, a fiancé she holding off on, a close “friend” and a childhood friend that comes back in her path. Will she be with the man she loves? Will she explore new feelings? Will she find out what really is behind this lost item? Fangs for Nothing is story with love or lust triangle, a tad jealousy, strong characters and mystery’s to be solved. A cat that appears in box, William, her promised love and patient gentleman, Derek, her flirting friend with crazy inventions and an old childhood friend and rival private investigator, Watson. Love the character builds and Lucy’s rumbling to herself, snarky comments and curiosity, definitely had me giggling at times. Good storyline and writing, fun and alluring, cliff hanger is present and want to know what happens next and how the characters evolve together in the next book, excited for that. A good read overall. I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Lucy;s internal dialogue is pretty funny and she can surely get herself into some situations. The action was a little slow at first but worth reading. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

This is one mysterious story. I loved Lucy and her group of friends. They make you laugh while keeping you so intrigued. William, Derek, and Watson are these fantastic guys that do not fall in the typical mold. There is just a complete mystery throughout the story that gets more involved by the minute. The story is well written with beautifully developed support characters. The flow of the story is superb and pulls you in. Yes, it ends in a cliffhanger but it is extremely worth reading and definitely one that will keep you engaged. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
