The Blue Sox are looking for ball players and Tim Casey, even though he denies it at first, has a desire to see just how far his talent and ambition will take him. Tim has the ability, but is young, spoiled, and arrogant at first. When called out by the manager and questioned whether he REALLY wants to play baseball, and whether he could ever make a TEAM player, Tim realizes how much he really loves the game. He begs the Blue Sox management for just a chance to show them that he can be a baseball player at this level, and to be a team player. Tim has a conditional contract with the stipulation that he prove he can be a TEAM player. Tim's first year in professional baseball goes by quickly. It was a year of discovery. A year in which Tim discovered his love for baseball was greater than he had ever imagined, discovered a wonderful girl, had fallen in love, and had found that the world is not always kind and understanding. He goes into his second year looking forward to a new team, and a new adventure in the world of professional sports. He is apprehensive, but filled with excitement as he looks forward to moving up in the Kansas City organization. Tim discovers a future bride, the church, and new confidence in making his future a bright one. Faith, Love, and Baseball is filled with baseball action, romance, mystery, intrigue, and an emphasis upon Christian values as we follow Tim Casey through his first two years in professional baseball.
