When world-renown reclusive mystery author Jonathan Wade decides that he's ready to reveal his identity to the world, he decides to do something even more mysterious than what he writes in his novels – he chooses a little-known writer at an even lesser-known magazine to write his story.

Taylor Scott is chosen specifically for this assignment and has to spend two weeks with him to write her article. The only catch? She has to come alone to his farm up in Maine. The whole world knows that Wade is a recluse, but Taylor has reservations of her own about going into this kind of an agreement. For starters, no one knows what this man looks like – or anything about him, for that matter – and no one will know exactly where she is.

Mike Greene runs all-things Jonathan Wade. He knew Taylor years ago and is instrumental to her getting this interview. When she arrives up at the farm and the two of them get reacquainted, and old friendship turns to romance. As their time together moves forward, it becomes more about the two of them and less about the story that Taylor is there to write.

Lines get blurred and communications crossed and Taylor has to decide between writing the story that will launch her career or refusing to print it and having a chance at love.

## NOT GREAT. I don't understand all the great reviews!? SPOILER ALERT***-- The thing that bothered me the most were all the accusations the hero made against the heroine. They were never discussed afterward. She didn't defend herself and it was just forgotten. It felt completely fake for them to end up together before straightening out their issues. I came to dislike the hero more and more as the story progressed. He was the one who betrayed the heroine, yet he blamed her for everything. He accused he of sleeping with him just for a story, accused her of "slumming" it with him, accused her of using him....etc. That this was never brought up again seems unfathomable. Some things can never be unsaid. And the heroine just "BAM" takes him back after a month with zero contact. I hate instant forgiveness. There needed to be a serious conversation and groveling to boot. Without that, I would've kicked this guy to the curb. I cannot recommend.

Exclusive by Samantha Chase is an adorable read.  It is quick and curvy, I read it in just a few hours.  I could not put it down.  Taylor and Mike fit so very well together that I spent the first half of this book thinking it is an 'awe' type of love story.  Second chances and all that.  Then Chase seriously twisted up the story line.  I was so angry with both characters for a couple chapters, and don't even get me started on Jonathan Wade.  Geesh!  But Chase tied it up with a pretty little HEA bow and made my day.  Well done.

I read this book in one day, could not put it down. Taylor gets the exclusive interview with recluse author, Jonathan Wade. She has to spend two weeks on his farm up in Maine. When she arrives she finds a friend from years ago as the personal assistant, Mike Greene. As their friendship develops into more of a romance, secrets come out. Will Taylor risk her career for love. This is a fast paced story, of a reconnection that develops into deeper feelings. I really enjoyed the story and the description of Maine, felt like I could close my eyes and I was there with them. I now want to go to Maine and ride my bike through the small towns. Once again Samantha Chase has an excellent book.

I'm a huge fan of Samantha Chase's work and "Exclusive" did not disappoint. Mike and Taylor have chemistry from the get go and it's no wonder - they knew each other years ago but Mike thought he wasn't good enough and Taylor was dating his best friend. They had only shared one kiss, but it was enough for Mike to know that Taylor was the woman for him. I loved watching their story unfold and they were both so relatable that it was easy to put yourself in their positions. Great book!
