I saw Robbie Williams perform the first single off this album on a morning show (Good Morning America?), and loved the sound and performance. I was not familiar with Robbie or his music prior to this. I saw the CD a week later at B&N, and gave it a shot. I made a wise choice and I am now buying two copies (at an even better price than my purchase price) for my sis and sis -n- law. It's still in my CD player and I listen to it daily.

I first saw Robbie on the Late Show with Craig Kilbourn, and I thought he was hilarious! He made everyone smile and I couldn't wait to hear him sing at the end of the show. When he did, I was amazed. His song, "Feel", was better than anything I had heard lately. On my next trip to B+N, I picked up his album, and I was so glad I did! I figured that there would be about five or six good songs and the rest would be filler, but I was very wrong. "Escapology" is an excellent cd, and I can honestly say it is my new favorite. Because of that, I did some digging, and learned just how big of a star Robbie is all over the world - why is he still unheard of in the US? I really wish he had more support out here, because the US is missing out on such an incredible artist. The best I can say is to keep plugging away, Robbie! You'll win them over yet.

As a long-time Robbie fan, I was excited to hear his latest CD, Escapology is being released in the US. Back in December of 2002, I bought an import of Escapology. I loved it!!! I put his CD in heavy rotation in my car's CD player. Now, four months later, it is still one of my favorite CDs. I am turning more of my friends onto Robbie! Robbie changes his sound so much, Something Beautiful & Sexed Up are great! At's a steal. Think outside of the box & go buy this album...You'll thank me later.

If you haven't had the chance to check out Robbie yet, now's the time as "Escapology" drops in the States... The album is musically diverse, unified by Robbie's emotive voice and clever, insightful, and often hilarious lyrics. ...A fan of Rob since "the Ego" landed a few years ago, I've been listening to the U.K. version of "Escapology" since it was released last fall... and while I'm sad to see tracks like "Cursed" and "Hot Fudge" omitted from the U.S. release, "One Fine Day" and "Get a Little High" definitely make up for it. ...Another gem from Rob--here's hoping the U.S. will get wise. ;)

I'm originally from england, but I've lived here for so long. It's great hearing Robbie Williams in America, because he is just so brilliant. It goes without saying, he is the king of pop. My favourite song is definitely Something Beautiful, which is an amazing song. I hope to see more of robbie over here soon.

This kind of straight-ahead pop (and it is that) usually is not to my taste, but I saw Williams in concert on a Europe MTV special and bought the CD out of curiosity. Sure enough, it is written and produced for the mass market, running the superficial gamut of styles from R & B to alternative to soft folk-rock, and upon first listen I was wondering if I had made a mistake. Then the clincher: this guy can sing. I mean, he can REALLY sing! Indeed, it his ability to cover it all that enables the album to be so eclectic. Consequently, after a second or third playing, I was mesmerized. The in-your-face, unapologetic self-absortion, at turns, satirical self-deprecation of this artist may not always be appealing, but Robbie Williams can't be ignored. His confident, superior styling simply is without equal. Granted, this package is certainly not without its flaws with some songs that are at best forgettable, but, in the end, despite the slick production, there are enough clever and intriguing selections to make for a pleasant musical experience (see Feel, One Fine Day, and Something Beautiful among the better titles with a surprising treat: Me an My Monkey). Above all else, however, it is his voice that is the reward; it's the main reason I recommend this to others and why I have also become a fan. Now I'm asking why it took me so long to discover this fantastic entertainer and why America has yet to appreciate him as well.
