Escape of Marvin the Ape based on 0 ratings. 1 reviews.
Marvin the ape escapes from the zoo and spends time exploring some of the attractions a big city like New York has to offer. The height of ape intellence, Marvin has no trouble blending in with the natives. This is a richly illustrated book carried almost entirely through the pictures. It lacks the lyrical quality of some of Caralyn and Mark Buehner's other stories. Careful study of the pictures will lead to discoveries - like an ostrich who manages to turn up in every picture or animal faces hidden in the grass. A cheerful, sweet story that is sure to amuse young readers but once the illustrative details are exhausted so is the interest. Recommended for ages 4 to 8.
