After surviving the disastrous battle at her prom, Alyssa has embraced her madness and gained perspective. She’s determined to rescue her two worlds, and the people and netherlings she loves, even if it means challenging Queen Red to a final battle of wills and wiles . . . even if the only way to Wonderland is through the looking-glass world—a parallel dimension filled with mutated and violent outcasts.

In the third installment of the wildly popular Splintered series, Alyssa journeys into the heart of magic and mayhem to set right all that’s gone wrong. Together with Jeb and Morpheus, she must save Wonderland from the decay and destruction that have ensnared it. But even if they succeed and come out alive, can everyone truly have their happily ever after?

About the Author

A. G. Howard started writing the Splintered series while working at a school library. She always wondered what would’ve happened had the subtle creepiness of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland taken center stage, and she hopes her darker and funkier tribute to Carroll will inspire readers to seek out the stories that won her heart as a child. She lives in Amarillo, Texas. Visit her online at aghoward.com.

Wow. . I hate that this series ended. lol I love that she came into not only her own powers, but she came into control over her two sides and two loves. I loved that they gave Jeb powers that enabled him to see her point of view and how it partially controls her. Mostly, however, I LOVED that she finally embraced Morpheus. LOVED IT!! She comes to terms with both her halves and the fact that she is in love with both of them. Even though I am not a Jeb Fan, I actually do like that she got to have both a human life and a life as the rightful queen of her court. I wish that we could have seen a little more into both of her lives, especially hers with Morpheus and their child. I craved the craziness that the wonderland world brought and I would have liked to spend more time there without the life threatening red queen in the background. I want more magic and more morpheus. By far though this is a great series that takes you back to your childhood and rewrites a story you thought you knew..

I have thoroughly enjoyed my sojourn with Alyssa, Jeb, Morpheus and all the quirky characters from Wonderland and AnyElsewhere in this brilliantly imaginative, enchanting, weird and wonderful series.  "Your kingdom needs a queen, not a corpse..." ENSNARED by A.G. Howard is the third and final book in the author's Splintered trilogy gifting the reader with a truly spectacular ending. It has something for everyone addicted to this series: It's action-packed, fast-paced, emotional and imaginative beyond belief; It is a wild and chaotic roller coaster infused with swoons, creepy quirkiness and betrayals; and it's a macabre, obsession-inducing ride that gave me heart failure repeatedly. Whereas the first book was centered around Wonderland and the second book in the human world, ENSNARED starts out in the human world but quickly moves on splitting most of its action between AnyElsewhere and Wonderland. I loved it! This is a series that needs to be enjoyed in order. I speak from experience as I initially tried to jump right into this book and was immediately hopelessly lost. When it hadn't gotten any better by the third chapter, I stopped. However, I was so determined to read this series, I purchased the first two books and started listening from the beginning. I'm so glad I did as the series is awesome. Just know that while there are series that can be enjoyed without reading the prior books - this is not one of them.  The works of art that the author has utilized for her covers are what drew me to the series in the first place. I was so mesmerized that I did a bit of research on them. Credit for the creation of the bizarrely offbeat covers are due to the combined talents of cover designer Maria Middleton and artist Nathalia Suellen. KUDOS to both of them! The covers are magnificent! The story begins shortly after UNHINGED had ended. Alyssa and her Dad are resolved to leave the human realm to rescue Alyssa's Mom, Jeb and Morpheus. But, first, they must retrieve Alyssa's Dad's memories. The action is fast-paced almost from the beginning and never lets up as the tangled web of required tasks gets more difficult and dangerous as long-held secrets are brought to light.  My full review is posted at Reading Between The Wines Book Club. MY THOUGHTS  This is such a wonderful book series! I have been following this book series ever since I picked up Splintered. Even before that I knew how much I would love this series! Now I don't know whether to be happy or sad. I'm happy because I just finished an amazing book, but sad because this series is over with! This book picks up right when Unhinged left off. Alyssa is taking her dad to get his memories back. Her mom is stuck in Wonderland, as the only entrance has closed. Jeb and Morpheus are trapped in AnyElsewhere with Red. Alyssa has to find a way to fix Wonderland and save both Jeb and Morpheus. I apologize ahead of time for this mess of a review. I love this book and this series so, so much! It's really hard for me to form complete sentences, that actual make sens, without full-on gushing about this book! First of all, this book is different than the others. This time, Alyssa has to travel to AnyElsewhere which is much darker than Wonderland if you can believe it. I really have to applaud the author's imagination in the whole entire series and it really shows strongly in this book! And the world is created so vividly! The characters are also amazing, of course. What I really have to think about are the changes these characters go through since the beginning, but in this book alone they change so much!  Now, for the romance. Before I reread the books, again, I was solely on Team Morpheus. Because, come on, it's Morpheus! I still love Morpheus, but I don't like counting out Jeb. Yeah, Jeb isn't as awesome, but he is such a sweet guy and I feel weird admitting this, but I do believe that Jeb belongs with Alyssa and he really does love her! But Morpheus belongs with her too! GAH! No wonder Alyssa has trouble deciding! The ending is a hit and miss, apparently, to most people, but I thought it was brilliant and emotional! (the whole series is brilliant)  IN CONCLUSION  I love this book series so much! It's imaginative, stunning, a so unique! If you have yet to pick up this series, what in the world are you waiting for?! If you have read the previous books, let me just say that this final book will not disappoint. It goes without saying that I really look forward to more books by A.G. Howard!

Absolutely loved this last sequal to the Splintered series! The ending was so good and it was just beyond amazing, not even words can describe. I obviously recommend this book to anyone who has read Splintered and Unhinged; because you're in for a heart-wrenching adventure that wraps up the series beautifully.

In this book Alyssa has embraced her netherling madness and is determined to save Jeb, Morpheus, her mother, and Wonderland, even if it means challenging the red queen. Alyssa and her dad venture into the looking glass world to find a way into wonderland, since the rabbit hole was closed the night of the battle. With the help of Morpheus and Jeb they set in a journey to save Alyssa's mother and Wonderland from the mayhem the Queen Red has unleashed. This is a bittersweet moment an ending of a trilogy I have enjoyed so much, even though I was not ready to say goodbye to the characters I have grown to love (Morpheus) the ending A.G. Howard wrote was amazing. I have never read any ending like it and it was definitely very satisfying. The way Howard re imagines Wonderland is perfection it just draws you in like a moth to a flame ( no pun intended ;) ) lol.  The book had my feels everywhere! The love triangle is strong in this one, but I'm beyond happy of the way A.G. Howard worked with it. I was crying tears of joy at how perfect the ending was. I also loved the character development, the characters have gone through so much since the last two books and the way they have grown definitely reflects in this book. This book has left me with a hangover that is going to be very difficult to overcome, Oh A.G Howard what have you done to me and my feels. One last thing this book is definitely under hyped it doesn't get the recognition it deserves. If you have not picked this book up, what are you waiting for? If you like anything Wonderland even if you don't this book will leave you craving for Wonderland to be real. Also the cover will look amazing on your bookshelf! ;)

I waited for this installment with a mixture of excitement and nerves - but A.G. Howard was able to pull off what many cannot - three books in a series that keep you guessing, shock you and ultimately make you feel like everything is as it should be. A must read for those who like interesting, ever changing characters who grow in ways that can only be imagined in wonderland!!

Ms. Howard does not disappoint in this last book of her Splintered Trilogy! I was hooked after I read the first book, Splintered and  quickly gobbled up the second, Unhinged and then had to wait a year for this one to come out. It was so worth the wait. The worlds Howard creates are rick and colorful, which is lacking in many books I read, and the characters thought out and full of, well, character!  I love that we bring Alyssa's father back into play and that there is a hidden story of his own revealed. The love trio between Morpheus, Jeb, and Alyssa heats up nicely but isn't so overdone it is cliche. I won't give the ending away, but it is AWESOME! Loved it!

First i rwad splintered . I didnt think it could be any better. Normally when theres a second book in a trilogy itbdoesnt seem very good. A lot of times the second or third book is worse. A. G. Howard is an outstanding authour. All three of her books went along to the the first one. I thought splintered was the best book but then i read unhinged and i changed my mind. Unhinged was my favorite book. Then cam ensnared. I couldnt stop reading it. When it ended i didnt think it was a bad ending. It summed up the whole story of all three books. This was the best trillagy i have read so far. I hope i can read mor books by her in the near future.

An amazing, satisfying ending to a stunning series. A.G. Howard does not disappoint with this final book of the trilogy. The writing is breathtakingly lush and gorgeous. The plot is richly complex and compelling. The characters leap off the page. Anyelsewhere is a place I'll not soon forget, and Alyssa's story is permanently implanted in my heart. I was thrilled with the oh-so-unpredictable ending! Only an author as skilled as A.G. Howard could pull off such a conclusion -- and she did it flawlessly. Highly Recommended!

With Ensnared, A.G. Howard truly does ensnare readers with vivid imagery and strong characterization, so much so that one better be ready for a one-sitting read! The final book in Alyssa's trilogy is a wild ride until she masterfully weaves all the threads into a beautiful, complete tapestry

holy. chipotle. guacamole.  so many feels.  so. many. amazing. feels.  this is a stunning conclusion to one of my most favorite series ever. from the very first line until the very last, you'll never want to end this madly wonderful fantasy ride with Alyssa, Jeb, or Morpheus. this is going to be one of those series that i reread from start to finish over and over again. i don't want to give away any details and ruin the magic, but GAH! i just want to fall down the rabbit hole and live in A.G. Howard's brain for all time. i vow on my life magic that I will be reading EVERYTHING A.G. Howard writes, always. thank you, thank you, thank you for masterfully taking us on a whirlwind journey from Wonderland to the real world, and through AnyElsewhere.

“‘You’re making me crazy.’ ‘Insanity is the most pristine clarity.’ He winds a leg around my hips and topples me onto him. ‘Let the lunacy in. Let it be your guide.’ One corner of his mouth lifts to a boyish grin.” If you are a fan of Alice in Wonderland, retellings, or really interesting fantasy then I think you would love the Splintered series. I adored how A. G. Howard built this world and the characters she used to take us there. Especially Morpheus. I am not sure I could ever read enough of Morpheus. She wrapped the series up in a lovely way in a book that was very hard to put down. I give Ensnared 4.5 stars.

A good ending but I hoped there would have been more explanation of how she resolved all the problems she had in the real world.

SPOILERS! It would be almost impossible to review this last book and the series as a whole without mentioning some key moments, so beware. Well, I am definitely glad I didn’t give up on this series and went ahead and finished it. After reading the second book, Unhinged, I wasn’t sure the series would continue to “WOW” as much as it did in the first book, Splintered. The first book in the series was creative and addicting, the reader was introduced to another take on the world of Wonderland and all of its strange yet endearing creatures. The second book centered more on character building and the drama that Alyssa had circling around her, while finally letting a few secrets from her family’s past come to light. In this final book, the story finally comes together and all the creativity is back and even better. Alyssa finds Morpheus and Jeb, but Jeb is not the same guy he was the last time they saw each other. After going through the looking-glass, the magical powers from both Red and Morpheus intertwined inside of Jeb. Now Jeb has the ability to paint things and make them come to life, and Morpheus has no powers at all. Finally the tables have turned and we can see another side of Jeb that isn’t so boring! But there were some MAJOR twists in this story. Not only was I wondering how the love triangle was going to play out, but the “death” of Jeb was very convincing (you got me A.G. Howard ). The descriptions of the deformed creatures that live in the looking-glass world was both amazing and demented. I mean WOAH, these creatures are getting cut up and they don’t run away because they love the thrill of watching each other get mutilated?…speechless. The love triangle is FINALLY at an end! I will be honest, I wish this would have ended with Jeb not in the picture but I am glad the author didn’t go with what was expected. For both of these characters to agree to basically share a girl and let her love two people at once is CRAZY! Jeb and Morpheus have HATED each other this entire series, but they came together in the final book and worked pretty well together. Due to Jeb getting magical powers and Morpheus losing his, Jeb helped create ways for Morpheus to travel and to give the illusion that he still had magic. Granted, Morpheus will always be that manipulative arrogant moth guy, but the author really showed a much more selfless side to him. He was the LAST person that was going to give Alyssa up, so agreeing to a compromise with Jeb about sharing her was pretty remarkable for him. I am really pleased with Jeb’s character in this book, though he is still mopey and all “WOE IS ME”, his character developed quite a bit more with him getting magic. I think that is exactly what he needed in this series, to have something that makes him unique and not so blasé. Learning about Alyysa’s fathers memories and finding that he is actually part of the Wonderland world was pretty cool. All this time he could have been helping Allison and Alyssa. Allison would have never gone to the insane asylum, and Alyssa could have been way more familiar with Wonderland and made sure that Red didn’t come back with a vengeance and try to destroy everything. I wish the author would have went into a little more depth with how Alyssa got rid of Red, it seems like the action moments and fights go very quickly in this series. It feels like Alyssa easily skated through all the tests and big moments she was given, so they didn’t seem to stand out as much.

Ensnared is the third book in the riveting series of Splintered. This series is truly magical, and enters the classic Alice in Wonderland world- but with a twist. It is a modern day version of the tale, with some darker elements, and a world full of talking bugs, magic potions, and portals to dangerous worlds. The main character is Alyssa, the descendant of important people in Wonderland, struggling to find a way back, to solve the problems facing it. If that wasn’t enough, she must deal with wrongs of the past, problems in the present, and ways to create solutions in the future. In this book, she goes on a quest to right the wrongs in Wonderland. I give this book 5 stars; it is a great book! This series is one that keeps you coming back for more- the books are definitely hard to put down once you start! The series has a little bit of something for everyone, including magic, relationships, and great conflict. I’d say this series is a must-read for anyone! Review by Emily T., age 16

Fantastic! Wrapped up all of the loose ends and ended amazingly. It was wacky and weird. Full of all of the wonderment you'd expect from this series. Plus a perfect ending. Best series tie up I've seen in a Long Time
