Enjoyable. Not the greatest but not the worst

This book is finally the conclusion of Harper and Eric's story. While Eric is trying to figure out what is going on, he finds out his father has had a heart attack. After Eric gets all of the facts, he thinks maybe his dad was poisoned. At the same time Eric and Harper keep getting cryptic messages that Eric still doesn't understand. Just when it looks like things are figured out....BOOM....things change. The path Eric and Harper had to take to get to their happy ending was just crazy. It was fun watching these two grow closer while also learning to trust each other. Overall I really enjoyed this series. Great characters and the story line really kept me intrigued.

I lost interest too many times and kept picking it up because I just wanted to know the end. I feel I should have read the last chapter just to end it.

What a great ending to Harper and Eric's trilogy. Lisa Renee Jones brings it all to conclusion with romance, lots of intrigue. What I love about Ms Jones's characters is that they are far from perfect and Eric and Harper are no exception. Eric with his trust issues and Harper's blind loyalty, but what is great is as the story goes on they both learn to move their trust and loyalty to each other. The Empire kicks off right where The Princess left off. We get to see some of my favorite characters (Grayson & Mia, Blake and the ever fantastic Savage). This however is Eric and Harper's story from beginning to end. With fantastic dialog and dual POVs this is a fast paced story with a great payoff. If you are in need of a great series that you can pick up right now don't look any further than the Filthy Trilogy.

Lisa Renee Jones can definitely write a story that keeps you flipping the pages and hoked to see what happens next. Eric and Harper - I absolutely loved them together. Who needs enemies when your own family comes stocked to the brim with them. Eric and Harper had so many issues fighting against them, but I am glad that they made it. Eric is the entire package: amazing, smart, gorgeous, thoughtful and ruthless just to name a few. I love how him and Harper fought to stay by each others side through all of their problems. Harper is loving, smart, beautiful and I love how she embraces Eric's savant side. She loves him for who he is and not his money, which means that she stands by him when he needs thinking time and never holds it against him. If you haven't read this series - all I can say is, WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR? This is an amazing series and the chemistry between Eric and Harper is off of the charts.

What a great conclusion to Eric and Harper’s story! As these characters struggle to find the solution to end the War between the Kingstons and Eric, which now includes Harper, they find themselves tested as both individuals and as a couple. I loved how despite moments of uncertainty, they both rebounded and clung to one another in the end. There are so many questions left to be answered when this book begins, and in the process there are equal amounts of twists and surprises. While this story doesn’t involve a lot of action, it is a methodical breakdown of people’s motives and how to prevent the unseen villain from gaining the upper hand. The fact that the ending actually resembled the final move in a game of chess held a certain appeal to me considering Eric’s past with his family. Eric’s ability to process numbers was more evident this time around. Harper was quick to embrace him when that side of his nature took control and I loved them both as they worked together to find a medium during those times. Once more, the steam and chemistry here is absolutely off the charts, as all of Ms. Jones’ books tend to be. The pace is a bit slow with some repetitive thoughts but nothing I wasn’t able to easily overlook. We also get more from the Walker Securities guys as well as Grayson and Mia. Rounding out all this mystery and suspense with the sweetest of epilogues was perfect. Dual POV

The Empire is book 3 in the Filthy Trilogy by Lisa Renee Jones. This book is the conclusion to Harper and Eric’s story and picks right up where The Princess book 2 left off. I love this author and her writing. She keeps us guessing and on the edge of our seat with all the mystery, suspense and twist ant turns. I thought she gave the perfect ending to Eric and Harper’s story. Their passion and love for each other kept them going through it all. I highly recommend this book, this series and especially this author.

The plot in this book/series is full of intrigue, suspense and grit. It is complex with twists and turns and uncertainties that keep you guessing and wondering, there's murder and some violence during the course of the three books, and yes you do need to read all three and in order or the story will not make any sense. The two main characters have their share of pain from their families and even a bit from each other at times, his genius can cause him to react differently from what is needed on occasion until she understands that is what it is it can hurt. This is a story that never stops giving it has you hook, line and sinker deep in reading, lost to everything but the power contained within the pages. It has you trying to guess and work out who is behind what's happening and the threats and even if you work that out there are still more lies and events to come at you. This is author Lisa at her very best and at the top of her writing skills, it isn't just romance though there is plenty of hot and steamy and some sweet mixed in, this covers mystery as well. Fabulous series and I say that because you can't just review this as one book it encompasses the whole three, where one stops the next picks up so it is only complete after this third book.

Intrigue, Passion & Danger! I found myself reading at the speed of light, with my heart pounding, blood pumping, and on the edge of my seat, trying to get through this phenomenal finale. As Harper asks the difficult questions, as she deals with the pain of what she has just overheard. Eric lays it all out to explain. Exposing all of his moves, fearing that he could lose her, and after everything he needs her in his life. But although Harper now knows Eric’s secrets, he still doesn’t know all of hers. So with murder in the air and danger all around. Harper and Eric’s hot passion, burns deep and wild as desire consumes them alive. Sizzling caresses, cause tingles through every part of their bodies as they crave the seduction that their love and connection brings and make them an us. But with so many players and so many secrets, it will take more than just Eric’s Savant abilities on his own. But with the help from secret messages and the men of Walker Security will they figure it out before any one else dies? You will need to read to find out. Don’t miss this exciting, passionate and thrilling final book in this series. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Well it’s finally here The Empire, and things carry on from the end of The Princess. Eric and Harper have survived one blow after another, and all it does is make their relationship stronger. I also love that Walker Security play a large part of in the protection, and a little dickie bird told me Savage is getting his own trilogy and that one to forward too. Lisa keeps the tension high in this last part of the Eric and Harper adventure. As always the sex is hot and the revelations keep coming while Eric’s and Harper are trying to roll with what ever comes at them. As usual with have dual points of view you feel integrated into the storyline. I not giving any of what happens away. We all know the journey to get to their happily ever after is filled with potholes with giant boulders coming at them.

What a fantastic ending to this series! The mystery, the intrigue and most of all the love that Eric and Harper have for each other.  Even when there is so much against them, so many people out to destroy what they have together, their love and trust for each other was unbreakable. I love how this series flowed from one book to the next. I applaud the ending, it was clean, it was happy and it gave justice to Eric and Harper and gave punishment to the guilty parties involved. You are gonna have to read this to realize the depth of deception that the Kingston family is involved in! It will floor you like it did me. Every time I pick up a Lisa Renee Jones story, I don't know what to expect and I love that! I love to have to keep guessing till the end of the story and hold my breath in anticipation  of the ending.  She never fails to disappoint you as a reader. I highly recommend this book, I highly recommend this series and I cannot wait to see what Ms. Jones comes out with next!

The Empire is not a standalone. You will want to start at book 1 to get the beginning of Eric and Harper's story. The final conclusion is here! There has been so many questions since book 1. As a reader, you just didn't really know what was going on, all the way to the end. I love when I am kept guessing like that. There were a lot of family secrets, hatred between certain family members and possible sabotage but you were never sure who was the true target and who was the true enemy. During all the family drama, Eric and Harper learn that they are meant for each other and both see how far the other was willing to go to protect the other. Another fabulous trilogy from Lisa Renee Jones that tied in the Walker Security men. I'm sure we will see more of them to come.

The Empire is the epic conclusion to Eric’s and Harper’s story and this author does not disappoint. Throughout the trilogy, Eric and Harper have both been strong, confident, and likable characters. They have great chemistry between them. There was betrayal. Secrets were exposed and there were surprising revelations. The Empire ties up all loose ends and the two finally get their HEA. Just a few things that caused me to drop it to 4 stars. I felt that some of the dialogue was redundant with Eric’s fear that Harper will leave and Harpers constant reassurance that nothing will change how she feels. I also felt parts of it when determining who was doing what were a bit repetitive. Overall I really enjoyed the book/trilogy and I plan to go back and read Grayson and Mia’s books as they sounds like interesting characters and I would love to learn more about Savage! I received this book for free.

4.5 stars Let me start with what I didn't like in this series, not just this part of the trilogy. I hated the way that Eric was always second guessing Harper, like she wasn't really there for him and she didn't know her own mind and feelings. But... but with the Kingston family and the way they treated him it is no wonder he felt everyone was against him and would eventually leave him. Now for the final book in this series, wow it is fantastic on the edge of my seat who done it. Who is trying to set them up, kill them or get the arrested? The story-line kept me guessing and just when I thought I knew who it was, I was wrong and yes I was wrong many times. I am not going to give anything away, I don't want to spoil it for anyone. I will tell you to read this trilogy in order or you will be completely lost. It is worth the read if you love a great romantic suspense with more than a few twist. If you haven't read Lisa Renee Jones yet, what are you waiting for? Start now, doesn't matter what you read, just read it. I have loved everything I have read and can't wait for more. **Free copy provided from the author and this is my honest review**

I loved this empire! This book was so good! We start right where we left off in The Princess, & the mystery & tension for the truth unravels from there. This book answered the questions we needed answers to, and Eric’s final plan was genius! Eric & Harper still had some trust issues to work out, but once they realized that they were home for each & that they fit together, they were beautiful & solid. I loved them as a couple & as individual characters. They were both broken by tragedy, but they grew stronger because of it. It made them love each other fiercely, because they knew it what it was like to lose love & be alone. Eric is a wonderful character - he is a savant, an Alpha & protective of those he loves. Harper is a smart, strong female who doesn’t let anyone walk all over her, & I admire that. This 3 book series is a beautiful love story wrapped in complicated mystery that I loved & didn’t want to put down! I wholeheartedly recommend this trilogy!

An amazing conclusion to a great trilogy! Eric and Harper's story was captivating from the first page to the last. Not to mention the two previous books. This book picks up right where book two left off. Harper and Eric continue overcoming obstacles to free themselves from the KIngston family as well as surviving more attacks coming their way. I love the twists and turns you don't realize are still coming and by whom. At times it seems like everyone and I do mean everyone is out to get them. Eric of course being the savant and ever observant man that he is has a plan to end all their worries and make sure the right people pay. Ms Jones has a way of pulling you in to a story and making you not only enjoy the ride but has you questioning what could possibly happen next while weaving in a wonderful romance filled with hot and steamy chemistry for the main characters. This is one of her best works so far. I loved how everything worked out for Eric and Harper in the end and the HEA was wonderful!
