A great resource for anyone interested in the history of patents. Great insight into the development of patent systems world-wide from 529 A.D. all the to present day. Covers an amazing amount of material in a very short treatise. Kaufer is regarded as one of the best authors in the field of paten theory and the impact of patent systems on economics (global and national). Not your basic 'how to' book. Only for those interested in patent law and patent systems in general. (But, $40 for a 72 page paperback??? wow.)
