A traumatized war photographer (
Catherine Keener) taking pictures of refugees in Italy comes to the aid of a pregnant emigrant (
Hafsia Herzi) who was deserted by a Tunisian trafficker while en route to France. In time, the connection shared between the two women begins to have a transformative effect on the weary photographer.
