This Argentine family drama follows the misadventures of nine-year-old Muriel (Florencia Camiletti) and her mother Laura (Soledad Villamil). Problems with men send Laura on the run, so she and Muriel head south, losing transportation, money and belongings when their car rolls into a lake. They walk to a hotel where Mirta (Ines Estevez) lives with her two small children. Laura and Mirta become friends, and eventually Muriel's dad Ernesto (Jorge Perugorria) turns up with hopes of reuniting his family. Shown at the 1997 Toronto Film Festival.
