Overview

The first story Stephen King wrote specifically for a television miniseries, Storm of the Century is set in Little Tall Island, a small town off the coast of Maine. The citizens are bracing themselves for what is expected to be the worst snowstorm in 100 years when a mysterious stranger named Andre Linoge (Colm Feore) arrives with a simple command: "Give me what I want and I'll go away." Andre is, in fact, an emissary of Satan, and what he wants is one of the children of Little Tall Island, whom he will raise to take over his assignment on Earth -- it seems that Satan's lifespan, although far longer than that of a normal human, is not unlimited, and he will need a replacement for that time when he must vacate his position. Andre knows everyone's secrets and can make their lives a living hell (no pun intended); he can also destroy the city at will. And only one person in town has the strength to stand up to Andre -- the sheriff, Mike Anderson (Tim Daly). While originally written for television, Stephen King's novelization of Storm of the Century was published shortly after the series was originally broadcast.

Colm Feore has presented us with what I feel is his best acting performance ever. The entire cast keeps us suspended in the non-stop action and we embark on a exciting adventure alongside Linoge in his non-stop killing spree. Undoubtedly the best movie I'v ever watched. Should have won some sort of an award!!!

Stom of The Century was an amazingly scary fil on abc in august of 2003 the three part movie left us in suspense not knowing what was going to happen each night. Little Tal Island did not know what they were getting into when they had this hurricane and the people didn't understand this linoge man who came to kill people and his quotes whre ''born in sin come on in'' and ''give me what i want and i'll go away'' what this evil person wanted was a child many peopl died or disopeered in this freak storm and this is one of stephen kings best movies

Not only is the screenplay good to read but the movie really does bring the words to live. The acting is spot on and the ending really does leave you to think about what you would do if you ever came across a situation like the one in the movie!!!

Storm of the Century This is a film adaptation of Stephen King's novel by the same title. A small island town off the coast of Maine experiences the snowstorm of the century and at the same time they are visited by an ancient evil and supernatural being that kills for attention and demands of the town that they must freely give over to him one of their own children to raise as his own. It's an unsettling story. It's worth watching.
