The sequel to the low-budget blockbuster Paranormal Activity takes place a few months before the events of the first film. Katie (Katie Featherston), the much put-upon leading lady in the original, has a sister living in an upscale Los Angeles suburb named Kristi (Sprague Grayden). Kristi has a new baby son, Hunter; a likable lug of a husband named Daniel (Brian Boland), who owns several fast-food joints; a teenage stepdaughter from her hubby's first marriage, Ali (Molly Ephraim); and a large, friendly dog. As the family gets used to the new arrival, strange noises are heard late at night and when they come home from an outing, they discover the house has been trashed, even though none of their valuables have been stolen. Daniel responds by installing a security system and a network of surveillance cameras, though that doesn't stop the noises or the Latino housekeeper's insistence that spirits lurk in the home. When Katie and her boyfriend, Micah (Micah Sloat), stop by for a visit, they discuss the strange goings-on with Kristi; the women of the house believe supernatural forces are at work, while the men find that notion ridiculous. That doesn't last long, as the spirits get noisier and angrier, especially when Ali begins doing some research on the subject, and before long the safety of the household is being threatened on several fronts, possibly due to some dirty dealings in the family's distant past.

Do you want the socks scared off of you? Then this is the movie for you! I like this movie because its plot is exciting, it made me jumpy, and it¿s actual security camera footage. This movie is interesting because it includes the girl from the first ¿Paranormal Activity.¿ This movie is abut Katie¿s (the girl from the first movie) younger sister, Christi. It also features Christi¿s husband, Michael, her step-daughter (Michael¿s daughter from another marriage), Alli, and their newborn baby, Hunter. There has been a ghost haunting Katie and Christi ever since they were little girls. It killed their mom and their mom¿s boyfriend and now it is out to get them. The movie starts with baby Hunter coming home, two days after he was born and Alli is recording everything with a small HD handheld camcorder. Later on, strange things start to happen. Then, when they are out in there pool with Christi¿s sister and her boyfriend, Micah and there is a break-in. What they didn¿t know is that it was actually the ghost. They then decided to get security cameras. Those are what capture the ghost activity at night. Then, one night, the nanny, Marteen, was watching Hunter and she started to hear banging when no one was home. She got freaked out so she picked up Hunter and tries to get the ghost out of the house. The family comes home to find Marteen going around the house with baby Hunter, blessing the house with smoke. They fired her because they thought the smoke was bad for the baby. It made me REALLY jumpy because it would be really quiet and then, all of a sudden, BAM! Something would make you jump. By the time you are done watching this, you are afraid something is in YOUR house! This movie will have you jumping every few seconds! If you like getting scared, then this is the movie for you! What makes this movie REALLY good is that the actors aren¿t actors. This is actual security camera and handheld camcorder footage from their house. These people are real, NOT ACTORS! If you have seen the first movie, then you should already know this. At the end of the first movie, it says ¿The whereabouts of Katie remain unknown.¿ At the end of this movie, it says ¿Alli returned home from a class trip the next morning and found Michael and Christi¿s bodies. The whereabouts of Katie and Hunter remain unknown.¿ It also shows their real deaths but they are not graphic. In conclusion, this movie is great but not for kids under the age of 13 because of the bad language. If you enjoy getting scared, then you NEED this movie! Why are you still reading this? Get in your car! Go to the video store! Buy this movie!!!!!

This movie was great i loved how the special effects were amazing. to get a baby to pull up or just to have people flying. The action was great to.The actors did great, how they looked so scared. and to get the dog to work. And the blood. how they got the blood from the dog being bitten to on the door. and the scratches on the door had blood all over it. and that is why i love this movie.
