The second best show in Japan to this date is finally dubbed in English for all anime fans alike (Even though it's only the movie.). With some jokes rewritten to accommodate American audiences it is no problem in my book and completely reasonable (Like Sg. Frog). The true ray of hope is that this epic masterpiece may lead to the entire series getting a second chance (or maybe a third chance) at being a part of the USA anime heavy hitters. Shonen Jumps' discontinuing of the manga series and Sentai Filmworks' English sub DVDs with no sign of a continuation (till now) may pick up again thanks to this. I will defiantly be adding this to my collection with high hopes and expectations that this will sell well and bring back this amazing show that anyone can relate to! As said in the August 2010 issue of OTAKUusa GinTama by Erin Finnegan is a "Anime" version of the Simpsons and has a lot of potential with their "we do anything" odd job specialists like Cowboy Bebop's ragtag crew! Aliens Vs. Samurai, sci-fi, comedy with the occasional real life melo-drama story arks- For both boy (epic fights) and girl (cute boy characters) audiences. GinTama is my favorite show and it really upset me when I heard they were discontinuing the manga series (After following and buying the manga release after release). I thought it would never see the light of day again in the US! Until Today! GinTama is a must watch or read to every anime fan and is very addicting! You won't know anime until you watch this series! Not only that GinTama does countless parodies of every anime out there and will always make you laugh, the more anime you watch the funnier it gets! (eg. Dragon Ball, Naruto, Bleach, One Piece, Death Note, Bakuman, Prince of Tennis, N.G. Evangelion, To Love Ru, Ect...) You don't even have to be familiar with anime! All you have to do is sit back-relax-and enjoy the show! This is the best anime ever and should be brought over to USA for anime fans to laugh until our sides hurt!
