Overview

This very scary made-for-TV movie gets a better-than-average presentation for its initial release on DVD. Gargoyles has been transferred to disc in its original full-frame aspect ratio of 1.33:1, and the audio has been remixed for playback in Dolby Digital Surround. The dialogue is in English, with no multiple language options. In addition to the feature, this disc also includes production notes, previews, and biographies of the principle cast members.

During my teenage years, when "Gargoyles" came on one of the cable channels (which usually occured about once every month or so), my friends and I would all get together, order pizza, and have a "Gargoyles Party". Ahh, the memories.....and when I found out that "Gargoyles" had been released on DVD, we had to order a copy for nostalgia sake. We weren't disappointed in that department, although we were disappointed in the "special features" (which are kind of skimpy; but this is a rather obscure title today, so I can't blame the company too harshly for not having more to offer) and the quality is not as sharp as I would have liked (although it's not bad, it's just not crystal clear, as hoped). All in all, if you're a fan of this particular movie, it's well worth the price.
