Overview

This DVD of Con Air is presented in widescreen with a 2.35:1 aspect ratio, and the sound is done in Dolby Digital 5.1. Also included is a French-language track and Spanish subtitles. The special effects are the big winners in this DVD version. Viewers can almost see the rivets of the plane in some of the sequences, and the color rendition is excellent. Little effort went into the extra features in this DVD. Besides the language options, Touchstone included the original theatrical trailer and a "teaser" trailer. Information on the special effects and the impressive stunt work would have been welcome.

This was a great action movie. Nicholas Cage's character succeeded in getting his daughter's BUNNY, not teddy bear to his daughter. My favorite part of the movie is toward the ending when the audience is fortunate to see late the late 1990's Las Vegas Strip the way it used to be before they blew up the Sands, Stardust, Frontier, etc. Also loved the classic Corvette flying in the sky before slamming onto the desert floor!

Still a fun movie with the classic 90s feel to it. Has its moments.

This movie epitomizes the masculinized action genre where good always defeats overwhelming evil. The superhero and infallible character of Cameron Pop fights off the nation's most vicious criminals while still getting a teddy bear to his daughter. He was only in prison fo r 9 years. Ving Rhames is the best villain, in my opinion.
