Columbia Records proudly releases Dream With Me, the first full-length album from soprano prodigy Jackie Evancho. The year's most eagerly awaited classical-pop crossover album, Dream With Me fulfills the promise of O Holy Night, Jackie's major label debut, a seasonal collection.

Produced by David Foster, Dream With Me features repertoire ranging from classical arias to pop classics to Oscar-winning show tunes, with two duets that showcase the young vocalist performing with Barbra Streisand ("Somewhere" from West Side Story) and Susan Boyle ("A Mother's Prayer").

"I can say without a doubt that working with Jackie on Dream With Me was truly phenomenal. Her natural ability and the depth of her understanding of the musical process left me speechless. I think we have created a musical experience that will thrill audiences of every age. She was a pure joy to work with and I had a front row seat to one of the next great talents of our time," said Foster.

"We are incredibly proud of Jackie and thrilled at how fantastic her album turned out," said Lisa and Michael Evancho, the singer's parents. "Making her first studio album for Columbia has been a wonderful and exciting experience for Jackie, helping her grow as an artist and learn about music from some of the masters in the field." Scan the audience while Jackie Evancho is singing and you'll see maybe a quarter of them have tears streaming down their cheeks-with the rest not far behind. This is not because she's a child. She isn't a "child singer" anyway. She's a singer who happens to be a child. Nor is it because she's singing a sad song. Her magic works whatever the song. Nor does it matter what you normally listen to. Jackie's devotees include fans of opera, classical music, classical crossover, pop, rock, country, heavy metal, world music, easy listening.even people who don't care about music--except for Jackie's. The diversity of "Dream with me"'s selections reflects her fans' diversity. And she finds new depths even in songs you think another singer owns. In performance, you see a happy child walk quickly onstage. But as she opens her mouth to sing, she becomes Orpheus.until the instant the song is done, and the child reappears, smiling, waving with both hands. Even the experts can't fully explain how she does this, because she's outside their previous experience. They start by talking about the richness of her voice. I played "Angel" from this album for a friend who'd never heard of her. He said he pictured a woman in her mid-30s who looked like Nana Mouskouri, until I showed him what she looked like. His jaw dropped. And the experts have marveled over Jackie's mastery of her instrument--of how she maintains a full, consistent tone throughout her range. Most singers have audible transitions. They also marvel at her portamento-the way she works the notes and the melodic line (without overdoing it). They marvel over her musical intelligence. She is a serious singer. She doesn't just want you to admire the beauty of her voice; she wants to take you somewhere. Here's a child with a happy upbringing who sings convincingly about things she's never experienced herself, because she's able to find the profound universals in whatever she sings about. So when she performs "Lovers," from the Chinese movie "House of Flying Daggers," she sings about the longing in romantic love that it shares with other kinds of love-- the longing you can feel when any kind of love is denied you. The movie's sound track uses the formidable mezzo Kathleen Battle, who does a beautiful job with it. But Jackie's version is even better. You can hear many of the songs from the new album on YouTube, mostly in low-fi audience recordings. They'll whet your appetite for this album. As will accounts by those who have worked with her on "Dream with me." They marvel at her professionalism-how she instantly grasps what producers tell her; how dedicated she is to recording the best performance possible. This professionalism extends even to interviews, where she's invariably thoughtful and diplomatic-yet so quick on her feet she never sounds rehearsed. She's confident but never cocky, friendly but never gushy. Sometimes a great performer's offstage antics detract from your appreciation of her performances. But with Jackie, the more you know about her as a human being, the more you appreciate her in performance. The only danger in getting this CD is that it may make you dissatisfied with listening to other singers, as many fans now say. People gush over performers all the time. This is different. Listen to anything she's done-right back to her "O mio babbino caro" at age 8--and you'll know. And you'll pre-order "Dream w

"Dream With Me" contains 14 beautiful songs performed with a richness and warmth unique to Ms. Evancho's incredible voice. When you listen to Jackie you feel and share her emotional connection to the music. Having savored every promo clip of this album I'm anxiously awaiting its full release and have preordered numerous copies.

If you look, the Sarah Mcglachlin cover "Angel" preview is out! Purely Angelic!! The tone and pitch of this 11 year old is second to none!! Somewhere featuring Barbra Streisand A Mother's Prayer (Jackie Evancho and Susan Boyle) When was the last time Babs did a track? Its been forever and could be the last, and to come out and sing with an 11 year old is saying something! You won't be dissapointed..

Ive heard most of these songs live by Jackie by YT and TV and let me tell you never have i heard a more powerful and at the same time sweeter voice. Her voice goes right through me. When you wish upon a star is a song i grew up hating. But when jackie sings it its like im hearing it for the first time.Unbelieveable. The best song for me is the one she singing at the time im listening. I dont buy cd much anymore but this one i bought 2.One for me and one for those who as yet to hear of Jackie.I like to see their face when i tell them she 11. Anyway must buy for all ages.

Jackie's voice/instrument is a wonderful and beautiful thing to experience. To hear or watch her sing/perform is an 'out of this world' experience. The experience is so precious and in a realm of experience so set apart from the everyday norm that it overpowers the emotions of almost all that hear and appreciate her singing. I have been listening to Jackie sing for almost one year and have never gotten tired of listening to her singing. In fact it is the exact opposite. I look forward to hearing the next song, or the next video performance, from one day to the next with the same anticipation I had from the very beginning. Jackie Evancho "the experience" has been an astounding blessing. I hope, one day, to see her in concert, in person.

I knew this would be a great cd..I just didn't know HOW good. Jackie's voice soothes the soul and her understanding of how the songs should be sung, is phenomenal. My personal favorites are "angel" and "The Lord's Prayer, but every one is magical. Personally, I would have been happy to have left Barbra Streisand and Susan Boyle off the cd because they added nothing to it. I am eagerly looking forward to her next cd.

I have all her CDs and I will purchase more in the future! Jackie is awe inspiring and a gift from God. I congratulate her on sharing her precious talent with the world! What a gifted voice she has! I've played her newest CD over and over and will still do until the next one comes out! I hope she will sing with Susan Boyle again where their voices have blended in so beautifully! May God Always Bless You Jackie!
