Dragon Ball Full Color Freeza Arc Volume 3 is one of the best volumes out of all the Dragon Ball collection. It features a large majority of the Ginyu Saga, incorporating the three-way guerilla warfare between Vegeta, the Earthlings, and Lord Frieza and his mercenary squadron. This is the pinnacle of the series at its height and no collection is complete without this explosive Full Color Freeza Arc Edition. It collects Volume 24: Goku vs. Ginyu and a portion of Volume 25: The Wrath of Freeza. I would have to say that if it were not for some of these specific chapters, I would not even be a Dragon Ball fan. Volume 24 features the arrival of the Mercenary Squadron of the Ginyu Tokusentai (Jeice, Burter, Recoome, Guldo, and Captain Ginyu) who are all felled by Goku & Vegeta. The Ginyu Squad happens to be some of my absolute favorites in the entire franchise, right after Frieza's top two elites Zarbon and Dodoria, who are my most favorites in all Dragon Ball. This volume features Vegeta's ruthless and fierce behavior as he eliminates the remainder of the Ginyu Special Forces, as well as Goku's thunderous strikes yet calm demeanor being a distinct opposite to Vegeta's tactics. The volume also features Captain Ginyu's attempt to switch bodies with Goku, leaving him in the body of a frog. This along with the wild chase for the Dragon Balls and the eventual summoning of the Dragon of Namek, Porunga, make this one of the most compelling collections of Dragon Ball manga to ever be released. Chapter 35: "Super Saiyan?" - 9.5 out of 10 Chapter 36: "Jheese and Butta" - 9.5 out of 10 Chapter 37: "With Allies Like These..." - 9.5 out of 10 Chapter 38: "Ginyu Steps In" - 9 out of 10 Chapter 39: "A Matter of Pride" - 8.5 out of 10 Chapter 40: "The Last Three Namekians" - 8.5 out of 10 Chapter 41: "Nail, Champion of Namek" - 8.5 out of 10 Chapter 42: "The Switch" - 8 out of 10 Chapter 43: "Goku or Ginyu?!" - 8 out of 10 Chapter 44: "Ginyu’s Mistake!"- 9.5 out of 10 Chapter 45: "The Final Switch" - 8 out of 10 Chapter 46: "Nail's Sacrifice" - 8.5 out of 10 Chapter 47: "The True Dragon God" - 7.5 out of 10 Chapter 48: "The Three Wishes" - 7.5 out of 10 Chapter 49: "The Last Wish" - 8.5 out of 10 Chapter 50: "The Assimilation" - 9.5 out of 10 Chapter 51: "The Transformation" - 9.5 out of 10 Total Score: 8.7 out of 10 or 4.4 out of 5
