About the Author
Kathryn Heaney was born and raised in Hamilton, Ontario. She traipsed around the country during her extensive teaching career, from the small northern town of Chetwynd in British Columbia, to Rosseau Lake in Ontario's cottage country, and finally to Pickering on the outskirts of Toronto. In the process of all those moves, she had two wonderful daughters who turned out to be the inspiration for the Anandrian series.Keeping with the family theme, Kathryn has used most of her family member's names for the characters in all the Anandrian books. It is interesting how the meanings of their names have helped to shape this intriguing story.Kathryn has retired from teaching and has moved back home to Hamilton where she fulfills her love for books by working part-time at the library.
