When Nick Magaracz's supervisor in the Treasury department of the State of New Jersey asks him to investigate the payment of a dead man's estate tax, he little thinks that Nick will uncover a whole platoon of domestic terrorists who are dead only to the government, or that their next target is the Treasury building itself.
About the Author
Kate Gallison has been at various times a store clerk, a computer programmer, a technical writer and a museum docent. Her published writings include three private eye novels (the Nick Magaracz series) and five traditional mysteries featuring Episcopal minister Lavinia Grey. Under the name of Irene Fleming, she wrote two mystery stories about silent movie production in the early twentieth century, The Edge of Ruin (winner of the New Jersey Studies Academic Alliance fiction prize for 2011) and The Brink of Fame.
