Overview

Dawn is the debut novel of H Rider Haggard.
Haggard later said he was inspired to write the book while living in Norwood. He and his wife were attending a Church service when they saw sitting near them "a singularly beautiful and pure-faced young lady".
Haggard never found out who the girl was but was sufficient inspired to write the first draft at Norwood in 1882, while studying for the Bar.

Dawn is a very interesting story which covers love, hate, deceit, revenge and true love that can in the mind of the beholder reach beyond life with no end regardless of any obstacles in the land of the living. Excellent! EB

I don't usually enjoy love stories; but this one pleased me entirely. Its focus is not only love, but the deceit, cruelty, selfishness, greed, envy, bitterness and lust for power of many types- that motivate people. Just be certain reader- that you get each volume or that it is all one book.
