While this was a fast read, I feel like I know these two main characters well and look forward to reading more about them in future adventures. Great start for a first time author.

In the perfect combination of suspense, romance, and character, Jewell has written his first of a successful writing career. The main character, Elizabeth Rome, is certainly capable of standing on her own as a contemporary heroine; Rico is a wonderful counterpart. Through use of clever chapter titles and excellent dialogue, Jewell creates a bit of comic relief from the otherwise tense atmosphere. The transitions within chapters can only be defined as Capote-esque. Let's hope to hear more from this first time novelist soon.

Controlling Time amd Love is a wonderful story (a fast read) about 2 seemingly very different leading characters, that end up seeing all the similarities they really do share! They are very likeable people I wouldn't mind if Mr. Jewell wrote a series wth these two people! It's a good mystery by several accounts. Two or three major and minor plot lines run through out the story---they make it a strong novel---your always thinking and wondering. It could be a bit more liberal with the romance/love. But it has enough of everything together to earn it 5 STARS! Great job Jim!

Jewell does an excellent job of managing several reliable characters and deserves recognition for his work. The plot drags a bit in places, but is generally very strong. Highly recommended.
