Jack Norton is a GhostWalker, a genetically enhanced sniper with a merciless sense of justice, a phantom welcomed by the anonymity of the night. But a mission to rescue his brother in the jungle has left him vulnerable to rebel forces. His only salvation is his power of telepathy. Then he meets Briony, an unusual beauty on a mission of her own. But they share more than the sweltering heat...

Briony shares the GhostWalker powers. Yet she’s different. She doesn’t know what she is, or what she’s capable of. But her enemies do. In this book, you start to see more of the overall plot that Christine Feehan has been developing. You get a feel that what is going on with the Ghostwalkers is a lot larger and that what you think you know is just the tip of the iceberg in this series. The two main characters are wonderfully written and well developed, showing a chemistry between them not just physical but emotional as they get to know one another more and learn to trust each other along the way. This book is one of my favorites in this series. I would highly recommend for anyone just starting to read Christine Feehan's books to start at the beginning, because as you read each book you get see the overall story develop while the two main characters must overcome their own personal obstacles while evading the main bad guy.

I have to say that this was the second Ghostwalker series book I read and loved it just as much as Deadly Game 'about Jack and Brioni's twin brother and sister' and I fell in love with the series. I do have to admit that I was better able to understand what happened after reading the first book and am so excited that sometime next year she is releasing another in the Ghostwalker series. This series has turned me into a Christine Feehan lover and am now reading the Dark series 'there are so many of them'.

I have struggled with the Ghostwalker series. I've had this book for almost a year and only read it because I was tired of looking at it sitting on my dresser. Once I picked it up, I could not put it down from start to finish it was full of action, adventure and some of the hottest love scenes I've ever read. Feehan outdid herself with this book! I was literally sitting on the edge of my seat with excitement while reading it! It is definitely the best one in the series!

I've recently read the Ghostwalkers by Feehan and just have to say I wasn't 'happy' when I knew she was going to another group of men besides the originals. I was so wrong! I think Jack Norton's story with Briony is the best one yet. I can't wait to read the next one!

This is the start of my third read of the series and I think the best so far. Can't wait for the fifth book in the series and hoping brother Ken gets his story.

Jack Norton is one cold, dangerous man not to cross if you want to stay breathing. But after a rescue mission gone wrong he's trapped in the jungle, tortured and wounded with little hope of getting out. Even the fact that he's a genetically altered GhostWalker is only prolonging the agony.Briony's high-flying circus act with her four brothers is killing her. The psychic pressure of preforming each night in front of all those minds - especially in Africa, a country ripe with civil unrest, discontent, rape, AIDS, and war - is giving her headaches and nosebleeds. But when she slips away to be alone and stumbles across a bleeding, deadly man, a man who can do all of the strange things she can, and who can talk to her telepathically, Briony's world changes forever.Thrown together by what I'm happy to say is revealed as NOT a coincidence, the romance between these two is steamy and entertaining. Lots of sex scenes, but there's a plot and a good bit of banter between Jack and his brother to relieve some of the tension.

Briony works with her adopted brothers as a circus performer. As she is psychic she finds it hard to deal with that many people but she deals for the love of her family.Jack Norton is a ghostwalker, rescuing his brother he finds himself having to accept Briony's help and then finds himself in bed with her.She finds herself pregnant and pursued by another genetically altered man who wants her too. She has to turn to Jack for help.Honestly, while the story kept me reading some of the subtext was a little annoying. He-man who insists on being right, Woman who wants nothing more than to keep house and be pretty for the man, who also looks child-like, the mindless lust they both have for each other, these things would not build a healthy relationship in the long-term. It's quite readable but somehow left me with a slightly bad taste in my mouth.

Conspiracy Game is the fourth book in the Ghost Walker series about physically and psychically enhanced warriors, and the women who were the guinea pigs for the military enhancement project. It's by far my favorite of Feehan's series.Briony Jenkins is a performer in her family's circus act. Unknown to her, she's also one of the young women from the original experiment, who'd been adopted out to a family. Her superior physical skills are a benefit in the act, but her extreme empathy, which causes her to feel the emotions of everyone around her, makes being near people physically painful.Jack Norton rescues his twin Ken from a torturer, only to be captured and tortured himself. He escapes, seriously injured, and senses another Ghostwalker nearby, who turns out to be Briony. In a nice twist, she saves his life, gets him back to her brothers, the eldest of whom knew Jack in the military. Her brothers keep telling her to stay away from Jack, but whenever she's near him, she has the novel sensation of being without pain because he's an anchor. And the more she's near him, the more they're drawn to each other. They have a brief romantic interlude, then Jack leaves, intending never to return because of demons in his own past.Hmmm. How much to reveal? I think I'll stop there. Suffice it to say that Jack and Briony were literally made for each other, and that the evil Dr. Whitney is determined to capture Briony, while both he and the African warlord are after Jack. The suspense kept me on the edge of my seat, with one dangerous situation after another, but just as exciting was the emotional journey of the characters.Briony is quite possibly one of the strongest heroines Feehan's ever written. Not only does she have the Ghostwalker enhancements, but she's lived her whole life without any support, with nearly constant pain, and she's learned to work around it. What was most heartbreaking was that her family didn't believe her about the pain--they assumed it was all psychological.Jack has the opposite problem--he's learned not to feel, and he's afraid to be close to anyone but his twin for fear of what he'll do--partially because of years spent as a sniper, and partially because of a horrible, dark secret in his past. He's also endearing, as is Ken (whose story I hope will be written soon), because he's not movie-star handsome. Both brothers are covered with scars. This series has developed Feehan's famous quirk: soulmates. But I really cannot object, because I like the way it was explained--Dr. Whitney produced mated pairs deliberately so that he could breed his own army. Plus, the pairs haven't just fallen in line with their programming. They end up together, but there's more to it than just pheromones.

Conspiracy Game is book 4 in Christine Feehan's Ghostwalker Series - books about a group of physically and psychically enhanced soldiers. Twin brothers Jack and Ken Norton are Ghostwalkers. When Ken is captured while on assignment in Africa, Jack leads a team in on a rescue mission. Both men are brutally tortured by their captors, but Jack manages to get Ken to safety before being captured himself. While trying to escape, Jack discovers that an old friend and ex-Navy Seal is in Africa performing with his family in a circus. He sets out to find his friend, and hopefully to get his help in leaving Africa.Briony Jenkins has always been different from her four brothers. She can't get close to anyone without being swamped by their emotions and becoming physically ill. She is a trapeze artist working in Africa with her brothers when she stumbles upon Jack Norton in the jungle. For the first time in her life, she doesn't feel the crush of emotions from other people. After discovering the Birony is a Ghostwalker (one of the earlier experiments of Dr. Peter Whitney,) Jack and Birony feel an instant connection. Rebels and soldiers are everywhere, and they know Jack has to leave the country, but when he leaves, he takes Birony's heart with him. When Brinoy finds out that she's pregnant, she goes to her doctor he immediately tries to capture her and sedate her. She realizes now that Whitney is after her and her baby, and she must fight her way out of his office and get to Jack. The brothers Norton live on thousands of acres in the wilderness of Montana. Will Birony be able to find Jack? Will they help keep her safe from Whitney? Will they even want her around? The list of people the Ghostwalkers can trust is getting smaller by the minute. Can they even trust each other?I think this is one of the best books in the series so far, an my favorite for sure! The adventure is intense and riveting, full of action and romance. The story is fast paced and compelling. I read the first 35 pages or so and when I picked it back up again, I could not put it down until I finished. The characters have wonderful flaws that don't magically disappear. They simply learn from them and try to live with them, and are happy and better off because of it. By accepting each other, Jack and Brinoy become stronger as a couple. The emotional journey of the characters was every bit as exciting as the action in the book.Conspiracy Game is an authentic and well-written addition to the Ghostwalker series - an exciting, fantastic, and totally addictive series that just keeps on getting better and better.

Jack and Ken Norton have fired my imagination since the first book they were mentioned in. I was thrilled that Ms. Feehan had written stories for them back to back and so early in the series. I have a soft spot for the tortured hero and both of these men are definitely tortured. I also fell in love with Briony. She has endured so much and been so brave when faced with pain and sickness day in and day out. This is also the first book that made me realize that there will never be any redemption in my eyes for Peter Whitney. The man is wholly evil and desires to be locked up and in a tiny cell were is overly active mind will slowly drive him to complete madness. After what these three characters as well as Dahlia and Flame have been through Peter Whitney shows has hatred for all of the people that he has experimented on and I think he has a special hatred for women. They seem to suffer more than the men do at his hands. Ms. Whitney can't get rid of this man soon enough. I was glad that Briony was able to see what a good person Jack was. I was also glad that she was able to see Ken for who he is and not be frightened of the scars.

This was a good easy read. Probably the second best in this series. The characters were fun and entertaining and maybe a little more "real" than in her previous books.
