Book #5, the Immortal Matchmakers, Inc., Series

WARNING: This book contains foul language, gratuitous sex against a truck, outrageously rude immortal warriors in leather pants, snow, pigheaded gods, a sexually frustrated goddess, a very hot and hunky florist guy with a bad attitude and a big secret, Brutus bubble baths, a sneaky invisible unicorn, unrequited love, bees, bees, and more bees, and chocolates.

SOMETIMES LOVE BITES AND SOMETIMES IT STINGS.

Colel, the Goddess of Bees, has been looking for Mr. Right for over seventy thousand years. So when she meets the hunky owner of a small-town flower shop and explodes with flutters and tingles, she's almost certain that he's the one.

Only two problems: her tiny black-and-yellow army suddenly won't let her anywhere near him, and...is that a freaking epinephrine pen in the fridge? "Dear gods! He's allergic to bees? Say it isn't so."

If simply dating the guy will kill him, how will she ever know for sure if he's really the one?

Colel has a solution, but it's drastic. Even for her. And what if he says no?

Loved reading the fabulous and fantastic fifth book in The Immortal Matchmakers, Inc. Series. Colel, the Mistress of the Bees, thinks her mate is Rhys, but Rhys portrays disdain for Colel, doesn't like bees, his brother died from bees stinging him, and Colel's bees won't let Rhys anywhere near Colel. Rhys can't understand his attraction towards Colel and doesn't want anything to do with her bees. Read the highly recommended, wonderfully written, engaging and captivating, and a must read.

What's a goddess to do when she's the Goddess of Bee's and her chance at love is DEATHLY allergic to bee's?!?! Colel was funny, crazy and altogether out of this world insanity! I absolutely loved it! I couldn't stop laughing at the crazy antics of these people! The crazy just never stopped! This was my first book from this series, so I know I'll be going back to read the rest of them to get completely caught up! I couldn't put it down!

Another hilariously entertaining paranormal Rom-Com by Mimi Jean Pamfiloff. We start Colel's story in Crested Butte, Colorado. Colel is the Goddess of bees and her hive of assassin bees and Rys is a sexy flower shop owner who is highly allergic to bees, like deadly allergic. She is immediately smitten and will do anything to get his attention. He wants nothing to do with her. Colel is so clueless on everything dating or love, yet she still tries to reel him in. He continues to rebuff her. This book is full of great one liners and crazy AF deities, that are constantly misusing common quotes in a laugh out load way. As always with Mimi's books you are on a wild ride, that has you hooked from the first page. I loved revisiting with the progress of Zac after what happened to Tula. Will Colel finally find her soul mate? Will we once again see some of our faves like Minky and Cimil? Love the humor and wit with all Mimi's books. You won't be disappointed. I can't wait to see what comes in the next installment.

Mimi Jean’s stories are always entertaining and Colel is no exception! I admit that I had no idea how Mimi was going to pull this one all together. Rys can’t seem to stand bees and they’re the whole purpose of Colel’s existence. Never mind the fact that Rys seems to hate her! Oh yeah, and the bees don’t like anyone who would take Colel’s attention away from them. It’s just all a disaster! But Colel soldiers on and with Mimi’s excellent writing, she might just get her happy ending. By the way, there are definitely some twists you won’t see coming. If I could give this 10 stars, I would. As it is, I’ll give it 5 stars!

WOW! That is the first thought I had after finishing Colel. I have fallen in love with Mimi Jean's Immortals from the very beginning and as more come out I am never disappointed. I wasn't quite sure what kind of wild ride I was in for with the Mistress of Bees and I'm thrilled to say that I loved every bee-autiful moment of this book! I couldn't put it down, needing to know more, craved it until the story to the end. This book, by far, is my favorite of the series!

I have adored this series from the very beginning and this installment is just as fun, witty, exciting and jammed packed with the best kinda magic ever!! This uniquely brilliant storyteller delivers us yet another emotional yet laugh out loud romantic adventure with her own brand of snark that I am completely addicted to... Loved it!

As always Mimi Jean Pamfiloff delivers an awesome read. Colel was so entertaining with all of the obstacles to her happy ever after. I think I have fallen in love with bees. I would love to have Chuck as a friend. I love coming back to these characters and finding out what has been happening to everyone, including finding out more about Tula. I really like the integration of Roen and the mermen. If you love to laugh and love cliffhangers pick this up and enjoy.

What’s the Buzzzz ? Oh that’s just Chuck and his psycho friends demanding honey. Colel isn’t your average goddess. As Mistress of Bees she speaks fluent bee, and is responsible for the health of bee hives world wide. She also comes with her own personal immortal army of psychotic bees that live in her hat. It doesn’t help that the little jerks are the jealous type and don't want anyone near their girl. No wonder why no one ever gets close enough to her to make a love connection. Unfortunately she doesn’t have time to think about that right now, with the bee population suffering, she has work to do so the helpless humans don’t starve to death. Enter Rys Crested Butte, Colorado’s local florist with a big attitude, bigger secrets and not to mention a deadly bee allergy. With their instant chemistry Colel tries to both avoid and get close to Rys, while he goes into full jerk mode. Add Brutus suddenly acting like a forlorn puppy dog toward her and you know it’s another romp amongst the most insane group of gods and goddesses around. Though book five in the Immortal Matchmakers series focuses mainly on Colel, we do see the appearances by the other gods and goddesses, the continuation of Zac/Tula’s story, with some extra spicy Minky thrown for fun. Colel’s story wraps up without a cliffhanger but the book has enough of a “oh no you didn’t” to make you eager for the next installment. Mimi Jean writes characters that are once again so human that you can’t help but to see yourself within them. They are snarky, chaotic, unsure of themselves, flawed, and so inhumanly human that you can't help but laugh, cringe and relate to them as they try to figure life and love out. Just when you think you have everything figured out the script flips and the Universe has clearly gone and lost her mind keeping you guessing up until the very end.

I've loved this authors outrageous stories which tend to star her swaggering uber macho Immortal males so it made a change to have the Goddess Colel taking centre stage. I do have empathy for her as she's quite isolated in many ways and its really only her personal hive of Bees that ever really get close to her. Things are changing in the Immortal world and its even more important than ever to find your Mate so Colel is beside herself when she stumbles across a florist that could be hers ! Oh wait I really should point out that Rys is deadly allergic to Bees so how on earth will this ever work out ? Hmm this is a difficult review for me because I was incredibly irritated by Colel so clearly that colours my judgment of this story. I can say that I warmed up towards her when I realised that she truly would do anything to make Rys happy and actually I thought the last third of the book was back on form. What I really enjoyed were the snippets spread throughout about Zac who is mourning Tula and no spoilers but I really want the author to hurry up and let her readers know more about what's happening there. However this book is about Colel and her possible romance with Rys. Ok to be blunt I think because the Immortal was Colel what I personally missed was an Alpha male taking charge. For this reader Rys just didn't match up to previous heroes although I did eventually accept that he could be perfect for Colel. A different book to what I expected but still with chaos and hilarity spread within the pages and of course a rather difficult unicorn appearing this could only come from Mimis imagination. This voluntary take is of an advance copy and my thoughts and comments are honest and I believe fair.

Colel is book five in the Immortal Matchmakers, Inc. series by Mimi Jean Pamfiloff. Colel is a Goddess, one of those that were created to protect our earth. She is Mistress of the Bees. Her seventy thousand years existence is dedicated to keeping the bee population of the world safe and healthy. Only the bee population has been dying out and she can’t figure out why. That is why she is currently in this tiny Colorado town checking on the local hives. When she walks into the local flower shop, something happens that she has waited seventy thousand years to happen, she feels an instant pull towards the shop’s owner, Rys. Could it be that she had finally found “the one?” The one man who is her soul mate? But Fate seems to be laughing at her because not only does Rys look at her with complete disdain, he throws her out of his shop because, yes, he’s allergic to bees. Rys has the weight of the world on his shoulders for reasons I don’t want to divulge because I don’t want to give anything away. But rest assured, he has lost his faith in love. Not to mention the fact that he would like to stay alive which wouldn’t happen if he got stung by one of Colel’s bees. He can’t understand this strange attraction he felt to her. How could he after what he’s been through? The best thing to do is stay away, right? Colel is determined to find a way for she and Rys to get to know each other. How else will she find out if he really is her mate? One problem, though, is that her bees which accompany her everywhere, are determined to keep them apart. So Colel comes up with a crazy plan to make Rys invincible to her bees. But first, she has to make sure he is the one! Second, she has to admit to him, a human, what and who she really is. Then, thirdly, she has to sell him on her plan! Easy peasy, right?! This has all the crazy we have been so accustomed to in this series. Colel and Rys were so much fun. But even more than that, I enjoyed the next part of Zac and Tula’s story. Mimi Jean is torturing us with little bits of their ongoing saga and it’s killing me. And of course, crazy Cimil and her evil invisible unicorn, Minky, make an appearance. So, buckle up and get ready to smile. Because this installment of the series will most certainly make you do just that. I’m not certain but I’m thinking that Brutus might be getting his story next.
