My favorite book in the series except A Family Apart and maybe A Place to Belong

This book is great because of the history it includes. The only reason I don't like it is because it doesn't have any real characters in it. : )

We started off reading A Family Apart in school, and then all of us read the rest of the series, and I loved this book the most. It was wonderful and has a great ending. I was just wondering, though, although I know JLN is dead now, why didn't she write a second book about Megan?
