E L James, the pen name of writer Erika Mitchell, is the author of the blockbuster erotic romance trilogy Fifty Shades of Grey, Fifty Shades Darker, and Fifty Shades Freed, along with the companion novel Grey: Fifty Shades of Grey as Told by Christian. The books were an international sensation, appearing on multiple bestseller lists and have since been adapted into films. A former TV executive, E L James lives in West London and is currently working on her next novel.
