About the Author
Charles Dickens (1812-1870) was the outstanding English novelist of the Victorian era as well as vigorous social campaigner. He wrote under the nom de plum, 'Boz', and his books have never gone out of print. His most famous works include Great Expectations, Tale of Two Cities, Oliver Twist, Bleak House, Dombey and Son and The Pickwick Papers.
