About the Author

My name is Liz Doolittle. My mission in life is to create children's books that are engaging, funny, and inspirational for kids of all ages. Hopefully even for adults who secretly never grew up and keep cultivating "the child within"
I am the happy mother of two gorgeous boys aged 7 and 10 years and of a baby girl.
I have been writing from an early age. When I was a student at school I was always writing. At first, I only wrote part-time, until I made the decision to become a full-time writer.
Over the last two years, I have written many different books for children. The main inspiration for my writing endeavors has always been the endless thirst for stories from my sons. Especially in that magic time of the day when my children went to bed and asked for the last chore of the day: a bedtime story.
For my first books, I got the inspiration for writing from my sons' weird questions: "Mommy, what would happen if a dog wants to be fly"? What would happen if a bird wants to swim?
My children had grown up but they are always my first readers and, of course, give me the harshest criticisms.
Young children's brains are sponges ready to absorb knowledge. A child who loves to read is a child whose imagination will grow as a rain forest.
I try to write about emotions, to motivate children in the quest for knowledge and to make them think and feel. I want children to grow healthy, happy and strong.
Thanks for sharing my books with your children!
